What a wonderful 4 nights we have had at Alpana Station in the horse paddock on the Oleander camp site. A lovely bush camp site with a drop toilet. Nobody else within 300 metres. The serenity and wildlife were magical.

Very friendly people operating the station, we did the Mt Samuel 4x4 track with a group of friends, not overly difficult as a member of our group had a stock Jimny and didn't have too much trouble on the track.would definitely recommend at least all terrain tires.course takes about 5 hours but is absolutely stunning and would be perfect for someone wanting to start getting into slightly more technical driving

A beautiful station with fantastic amenities. Definitely do the 'tag-a-long' tour with Sally, she's a wealth of knowledge about the family's station history and that of Blinman. We had a geological education and an experience we won't forget.

We stayed at Horse-yards camp-site, away from it all. Surrounded by nature and serenity. If you have a 4WD make sure you do the Mt Samuel Track - just stunning, allow plenty of time as the views deserve to be fully admired.
Sally and David went above and beyond when they found us stranded roadside with car issues and helped us get on the road again.

We will be back!

Excellent place to stay. Host Sally is extremely helpful and lovely to interact with. Great ensuite facilities if you need them. Bills Paddock unpowered camping on edge of the creek is also beautiful and even has a couple of bush toilets! Highly recommend Alpana

Our Short Stay at Alpana Station was incredible & we just wish we could have stayed longer. The family who runs Alpana are absolutely lovely; such easy going, kind, genuine people! We stayed in the Horseyards Campground at the ‘East End’ and couldn’t recommend it higher! It is completely private/secluded, you feel like you have the whole of Flinders to yourself! Beautiful views of the mountains there also. A bonus is there is a very clean/well kept long drop Toilet at each site, with a view too! We will 100% be back and urge everyone to put Alpana Station on their list of must do when in Flinders. Thanks so much for an amazing stay.

Camping in Bills paddock was great. We and our dog loved the freedom and the solitude. Robbie the friendly dog was a bonus!

Sally & David Henery were wonderful hosts. Spectacular property to experience a magical star scape. Great walks & drives available on this property. You can do a tag along tour (worth doing very informative) even have a camp fire. Have a camp with or without power even ensuite sites available why not stay at the Nungawurtina Hut for a different experience. Dogs allowed. Experience a great relaxing time.

Expect the warm, no worries attitude that your belligerent uncle reckons has long deserted this land. Sally is an unforgettable host with exceptional knowledge of the local area and great advice as to what to read if you are into local flora or the cultural significance of the region. If you don't manage to book a stay in the Hut, make sure you put it on the list for next time. Absolutely top place to stay and I'll be returning!

Camping with a private ensuite! We loved this with two kids, showered, warm and ready for our next adventure. Great scenic tracks on your doorstep- the gorgeous Sunset hill only 4km 4wd track, the beautiful log hut and scenic tour only 12km. Communal BBQ ready for use with fireplace. Love, love love Alpana Station- great feel to it- family oriented

Just loved it. Sally and David were wonderful hosts. We had an ensuite site which was spotless and firewood was provided for campfire. Alpana is well situated to explore the ranges and is really pet friendly

We’ve just had 4 nights at Alpana with a perfect en-suite site. We looked out by the river bed to the beautiful gums and hills. Our dogs were welcome and became mates with station dog Robbie! Sally knows her history stuff and her way around a 4 wheel drive! We have nothing but good stuff to say about this trip it was fabulous. Loved getting a map and a key and exploring some challenging tracks of Alpana. Thoroughly recommend anyone with a few days up your sleeve visit Sally and Alpana.

Stayed at the Horseyard camp ground, which was absolutely perfect. Your own space with a great long drop toilet. Lots of places to go on walks. Plenty of wildlife around to watch.
Highly recommended if you like to camp away from lots of people

Stayed at Horseyards camp. Lovely place to stay. Very quiet with huge gum trees on the banks of the river (dry). Pit toilets were clean. Campsites large and very secluded. Plenty of firewood available. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Also did Sunset Hill 4wd trek which was great.

It is Our Country.go and visit.
Forget overseas trips.you don't need to go overseas to enrich your knowledge and soul.
Visit your Country and Blinman to understand the ancient First People way of life and the first white settlers struggle to survive in an alien environment. You will forget the places you visit overseas.you won't forget seventy thousand years of history and what some good people had to do, to make a living in harsh conditions.

Thank you Sally for making our stay so special. We camped at the far end of Bills paddock and loved the peace and quiet.
Our tag along day tour around your 60,000 acres was a fabulous four wheel driving experience for us novices to the outback.
Your spotless ensuite was so nice at the end of the day. We highly recommend staying here.
