Aldersgate Residential Aged Care

Very caring and thoughtful staff in a lovely, old-fashioned setting with beautiful gardens. On site physiotherapy, dental and optical services, hairdresser visits and there is a good lifestyle and volunteer/student program. I have noticed that many care certificate students come back as volunteers, and we have been lucky enough to have some of them come on as permanent staff.

The food is fresh and tasty with vegetarian options for all meals. It is mainly European style so people from other ethnic backgrounds with preferences for traditional cuisine may find this a challenge, however the kitchen staff try very hard to find solutions.

The staff communicate well both in person and over the phone and I always feel well informed about my loved one's status. Residents are friendly and it has a village atmosphere. There is secure care for people with dementia or similar higher needs.

ADDED NOTE NOV 2020: The staff and management here have been working very hard in keeping residents safe and well during COVID. There sincere efforts are appreciated.

We had to wait for a bed but my sister and I were so relieved to get our 93 year old Mum moved (from an appalling place) to here. The gardens are pretty, the rooms light and generously sized, the place is older and not flash, kind of like my Mum, it’s rather charming, competent and reassuring. Mums needs were complex and she was given the best palliative care. The staff were genuine, competent and caring.

Òn OG Rd.this Uniting Care nursing home surrounds and radiates from a large pioneering home. Friendly staff help. The main reception is in this old home with high ceilings, some tin pressed.

I live here.l. Love it every one is kind caring plAce is kept very clean.lm.looked after very well have been here 82. Months don't want to be anywhere else. I treat staff with respect so they do me.we have lovely gardens to view as well.l would recommend this beautiful place to any one who needs care now lm. Satisfied.very happy

I have successfully completed my industrial exposure training from this organisation as a Personal Care Worker. Lovely caring team with beautiful gardens and homelike environment. Unique and different from other services

Aldersgate is wonderful for aged individuals. Many many lovely staff. After 10pm Staff have too longer breaks than they should.

I had recently had my Nanna in there, lovely place and surroundings staff were not to bad, very clean and tidy.
