AGAPI GREEK CUISINE

My new partner and I went to Agapi last night and were really impressed with the welcoming atmosphere, attentative staff and the delicious and well priced food.
We highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm so glad they've reopened across the road. The fit out is cosy. The food is delicious as always, and the service is great. We love the Mousaka, pork sausages and fish bait.

Food delicious as usual, service was a bit rushed and couldn't wait to close at 9.30 on a Saturday night.

Went here for a birthday. The food was awesome, particularly the vegetarian moussaka. We loved it.

Service, food, ambience was a perfect 10/10 tonight. This is a must visit place. The staff were amazing! Recommend the Octopus. I’ve never had anything like it. So tender and full of flavour.

Dined with friends tonight on the recommendation of our friend who invited us. It started okay at the beginning when we entered, but from there on, it was a hit and miss, more of a miss. We had to constantly wave down one of the waitresses to get their attention. We ordered our entrees and mains as we were sharing to try everything. The waitress took our order but did not ask what we wanted anything to drink, so we had to wave one of them down again. The entrees were really nice, so that was the hit. But when it came to our mains, it was horrible. The stuff calamari was too chewy and uneatable, and the arni solvaki was horrible as the lamb was too tough to eat. We only had not even a bit and then complained to the waitress who removed it from our table, not asking if we would like a replacement or to try something different from the menu. All we got was chef sending his apologies. Throughout the whole dining experience, we were only asked once how everything was, but that was when we were eating our entrees. When it came to wanting dessert, we had to once again wave down a waitress for the menu. Our dessert was nice and full of flavour. But when it came to the billing, it was a disaster. We explained to the waitress that we didn't eat any of the mains and that we were not going to pay for something that wasn't pleasant and had to explain to her again why. The waitress took our bill, and she would be back with it fixed. The waitress came back and gave us the bill, then left. We looked at the bill again, hoping that the items were removed or a solution but nothing. We had to wave down the other waitress who we had to once again explain the dilemma. She took our bill and then came back to say that, sorry; unfortunately, she could not remove it from our bill. We asked to speak to the manager, and we were informed that they were not in tonight. So, I proceeded to ask who was the next in charge to solve this situation. We were then told that there was pretty much no one. The head chef didn't even come out to resolve the situation. My friends and I are managers of well-known restaurants, and to come across this situation is very poor. Any good manager would know to have someone next in charge on duty to resolve customer complaints. It wasn't even busy. We ended up having to pay the bill in full for certain items we did not eat. My friends and I will not be returning or will be recommending this place to anyone.

Had a fantastic meal! Service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the octopus, coconut prawn and chicken souvlaki. Will definitely be back.

Amazing food here! I would suggest getting one entree and one main and splitting with someone. That only will fill you and save you some money. The portion sizes are good and you get what you pay for. Great flavours and great atmosphere.

Omg we’ve been here 3 times now and it gets better and better! Had the lamb shoulder tonight and I am in a very happy place right now. Barely able to move and absolutely satisfied! Amazing service, fantastic food and great atmosphere. Try for yourself I can absolutely recommend this place!

I went a month or so ago with friends and had the lamb shoulder which was great. I went back again tonight and ordered the stuffed squid for mains. There was one tiny stuffed squid tube on top of some potato wedges ($32). I queried the tiny portion with the waitstaff as I remembered my friend having the same dish and it was a much larger portion. She said that she’d feed my comments back to the chef. That was pretty much it. I left hungry and went home to get something else to eat. I’ll never be back. A real shame that I chose this restaurant over another very close by.

I attended a dinner with a party of four others this weekend, excited to dine at a reputable Greek restaurant. Unfortunately, we were met with disappointment. The combination of sub-par service, a rushed meal and a noisy and crammed space made for an unpleasant experience.
While we do our best to support local businesses in this time: attend local eateries, co-operate with new guidelines /eating times, socially distance, order early and finish on time, I am sad to say in these circumstances, that despite being pressured to order at 7.10 pm to finish by 8.30 pm, the food did not arrive until 8.10 pm with little less than an apology, a rushed meal and a shove out the door. I am also disappointed that costs of the 'table water' was not communicated openly before bringing out several bottles with each being charged at $9 despite tasting of chlorine.
While I understand that it indeed remains a time of uncertainty and stress for many, we are all left in one way or another to navigate the choppy waters and sad repercussions of a global pandemic. However, the test of change in challenging times is also an opportunity to reconnect in a new way with consumers and transform upheaval into future improvement which I did not experience or witness in this instance.

Best Greek food I have EVER tasted. Everything was delicious. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back soon.

Beautiful service from the two lovely ladies. (Still tryn to find the Greek word for "essence") Good recommendations on food and wine.loved the Nemea!
Dinner was amazing.from the char grilled capsicum dip, feta wrapped in filo top with peppered fig n walnut, zucchini Crocett's and many more dishes till the very last.baklava and coffee!

Had the best experience at Agapi last night. The food was delicious, one of the best we've had! Great and cozy atmosphere and awesome 5 star service by Jaimie, who was super friendly and helpful giving us amazing suggestions! We'll be back for sure:)

If you want to experience the best Greek food in Adelaide Agapi is the place to go. The food is so fresh and each dish has its unique flavours. Friendly and efficient customer service and atmosphere is great.

Wonderful friendly customer service, presentation of the place is clean and stylish. The food came out in a very reasonable timeframe, clean flavours and fresh food. Delicious for all senses.

Great food. Beautiful wine. We had the lamb souvlaki which we shared. Large meals and very fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere
