First time here, loved it.
Price excellent, fast service and food was delicious and ample.
This will be our local now.

First time coming here and found the food to be of great quality. I had the BBQ half chicken with rice and I can say that the flavours were amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was juicy and full of authentic afghan flavours. There was a decent amount of the red and white dipping sauce too. I found the red sauce spicer than other Afghan places I have been too but I like that. I would have preferred a little bit more rice. Service would have been better if the guy service was a bit more friendlier.

They have a decent size indoor space and can cater for a number if diners. There is also ample fee parking area available.

So verall, the food was excellent and I will definitley come back and try the other food on the menu.

For your kind information I pay 15 dollars for rice with chicken curry and this is 4th time I come your restaurant last time I complain for rice with your one staff person how is your manager or waiter or your chef I don’t know and today same happened and for your kind information your staff take money first and then give food so don’t put wrong information just go to your restaurant and eat your restaurant food first then sale to the customer

Amazing place to eat especially half chicken with bread. The food service was amazing. If you are looking for quality, fresh food this is the place. Highly recommend

First time here just moved to area as experienced chef I loved it, fresh hot awesome sauces quick and friendly couldn't fault anything will be back highly recommend lots choice and it's all good.

Can't fault the food itself much, it was good compared to other places. So 3 stars bc of the food.
Ordered through uber, 4 minced + 2 extra skewers.
Was sent 4 minced and 2 chicken. Called back to check if I received someone else's food. The person over the phone argued that it was my own fault instead of being apologetic? Like I'm sorry you gave me the wrong food!
When a person has ordered 4 minced and is asking for 2 extra skewers, they want the minced skewers. Especially when you haven't even put in options for customers to specify. How was I meant to know your perspective of the menu?
anyways, improve your customer service and don't raise your voice cutting people off mid talking. Very rude.
Maybe consider that you may have been in the wrong?

Food is great, the lamb shank very soft and evenly marinated, you can't go wrong with that.

We usually order here but we ordered this time and it was terrible, old produce and it just didn't taste nice #shocked. They added no rice to kebab very upset. Not well done we won't be ordering here again

Beautiful food and very reasonably priced.we've really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

The person at the counter seems very moody, no greetings nothing to his customers, food was just ok! Lamb shank was good but rest is not at all tasty, If you are a samosa fan then pls avoid.

Doesn’t understand english at all, rude behaviour, charged me for 2 wrong meals and gave me half the refund of the actual order with the rest of the amount to be deducted on another order.

Good family run restaurant…limited menu but if that’s all you want it’s good. Starting to see lots of good Afghan restaurants now here

Afghan Chef is a staple of the local community, with quality food and even better prices, you're going to have a good time and come back for more

The food is left over the salad is old and block not eatable if anyone want to try afghan food order from salam restaurant very nice nd fresh food with best service just down the road from this restaurant

The freshest and silkiest mantos dumplings I've eaten to date by far. Samosa was delish - short flaky pastry. Really tender lamb and chicken kebab and generous sauce serving. We also tried the mince kebab which was ok (but I've never really a fan of them anyway). Had the doogh drink - a salty sparkling milk drink. Good value, will be returning for their dumplings. Takes Maxxia card.

Surprisingly good restaurant for Afghan food. Came across this place on a quite weekday night and we were the only customer there at that time. The food were amazing! The meat were so tender and juicy, we had lamb, mince and chicken skewers, chicken biryani the portion were big and inexpensive.the aromatic charcoal meat smells fantastic. We also tried other entree items on the menu and they were good.

AMAZING Food and Great Service to match, we are lucky to have Afghan Chef so near by, even worth a long drive as you wont be disappointed HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AAA+

Have been here twice thus far and both gave pleasant experience. Food and service were good. Happy to go back again.
