I am in absolute distress that my son was put on Ritalin with zero consultation with myself as a mother with 50% shared care of him. This comes despite my request to be included in discussions and outcomes from appointments which was ignored by this clinic's staff members. Dr Krishna Solanki has been remiss to investigate psychological reasons for my son's behaviours and aside from a single questionnaire, never discussed my side in detail about what is happening psychologically at his father's home which I believe plays a huge part in my son's issues. The bigger picture has not been investigated and medication has been issued like lollies. I am devastated this can happen without the other parent's consent. Typical Doctor treating the symptoms without investigating the underlying psychological and environmental causes.
