Adelaide Oval reviews
56Love the oval. Atmosphere, tradition with a blend of modern. Most beautiful oval in the world.
Absolutely love Adelaide Oval. It is an amazing venue to watch the footy, go to concerts and even climb the roof. Highly recommend
An iconic infrastructure in South Australia, haven’t been to so many Oval but this is to me the best venue for any cricket events in the world. Love going there again and again and enjoy watching matches after matches. Been to the entire Oval tour couple of time and visited like players dressing room, media room every where and loved it. It created an attachment to me.
Impressively designed for optimal crowd flow, lines for food and drinks are minimal even when the stadium is packed!
Adelaide oval is not just famous for its games stadium, it has scrumptious food options also available. I visited the Bespoke bar and kitchen restaurant for lunch.
Magnificent structure. All stadiums are obviously designed to cater for large crowds but AO is efficient. Even with 50,000 in attendance the concourse feels spacious. Also lots of sanitary facilities for the ladies so no excessive queues. I do however wish stadiums had a kid friendly area for little ones to stay safe and roam, but maybe that’s too much to ask as viewing space is money!
Excellent venue. Sensational atmosphere. Reasonably priced food and drink for a major events centre.
We did the sunset roof climb. It was great, knowledgable friendly guide, lots of info I didn't even know about my home city. Not too challenging but over >75 yrs and pregnant persons (can't remember the gestation limit) need doctor's clearance to go up.
With a great vantage point and comfortable seating we all enjoyed and had a very happy time watching this year's Christmas Pageant live.
Fortunately rain held off apart from a little drizzle, we were not under cover.
Adelaide Oval is one of the most iconic and picturesque sporting grounds in the world. This ground is one of the oldest grounds of Australia as well (Adelaide oval was established in 1871).
The Stadium tour was great. The old scoreboard was the highlight. The photo is of the light box inside the scoreboard used to indicate which fielder or batter is in action on the field
World class venue in middle of CBD. The 4 footy icons surrounding the oval being Ken Farmer, Malcolm Blight, Barry Roban and Russel Ebert is surreal. The footy talent on offer in this state over the years.wow
Wonderful, friendly service at the Reception desk. The bedrooms were excellent with a very comfortable mattress on the bed. The digital information screens were very helpful. We had beautiful views from our bedroom windows. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast in the Bespoke Dining room. Thankyou for making our stay so enjoyable.
MTX Club horrible experience ordered 6 meals took over one hour to get a 2 meals then after waiting more than half hour more had to ask staff about the other 4 meals still not arrived. Kids hamburger Pattie was charcoal on the outside and raw in the middle asked to have it replaced and got another burger exactly the same. I ordered nachos pulled beef was so dry it was rock hard and black!
Never ever go there again!
Limited numbers of patrons and even with this waiting times were horrendous.
Very disappointing next time I'll stick to the hot chips & a pie from the general shops at oval.
One of the most beautiful sporting arenas on earth, absolutely world class. Fantastic arena, all seats have a good view of the action. The usual stadium prices and passable foods. Facilities are excellent, staff in my experience are always polite and helpful. I would absolutely recommend going to anything here, but would especially recommend the cricket.
The protcols were outstanding the staff are great in any facets in regards to any questions in the area 132 that we sat everyone was doing the right thing and truly is a outstanding oval for ALL the amenities and watching sports in general one of the best ovals in the world WELL done
No cash sales at this arena, staff wasn't to helpful with the poor lady in front who had a disability to help her out with this situation. In fact my wife had to help her out. Over priced not a family friendly arena. If you are going to have a cash less arena then make sure you staff that are trained in customer service.blue coat staff also rude, they are there to once again help the clientele and not make confrontation to the public and make it about them. Not covid compliance toilets dirty, lack of toilet paper, using mops not coloured code for toilets, as well mops that were used without chemical in a bucket, mops just left out Infront of toilets.
One of the greatest cricket stadiums I've ever seen. Great venue for everyone, with all the facilities when needed. Maintaining really well, and beautiful architecture. Located in the city with easy access to transport facilities. Ample parking available close to the venue.
Great experience. Due to limited crowd, moving about to buy refreshments, etc was smooth running. The oval is top notch and a great venue to watch the footy
One of the most impressive stadium I have been so far. Best venue for footy sports esp cricket game.
Complete facilities, very well maintained, accessible to public transport, centrally located in Adelaide, roght across Torenns Bridge, nearby casino, convention center, hospital, parks, entertainment, few parking spaces too.
