Full of '80s character, do not expect a modern hotel, maybe slightly tired but clean, functional and well located at a sensible price.

Location is great, Staff are great, unfortunately prices of rooms have increased dramatically and now you even have to pay for parking. Have stayed here many times but not anymore

Love this place discovered it by accident, you don't have to go far to find something to eat for dinner, plenty of cafes and restaurants on either side of the road from burgers to Italian to Indian

We chose for our parents to stay at the Adelaide Inn over Christmas. We paid top dollar for the occasion
, and was promised they would have a wonderful stay there.
However the room they were booked into was not available once they arrived. And now several weeks later I have recieved a phone call saying they are following up payment. After checking my bank statements which clearly show all monies have been paid. I Called the receptionist back and was greeted with a hostile responce and then bruptly disconnected.
I would not recommend to anyone to visit or stay at the Adelaide Inn, on O'Connell Street Nth Adelaide
I give them 1 star out of 5, and that star is only for their locatin.
Very disappointed

I have booked 2 rooms for 2 night including New Year’s Eve for more than $1000. I am writing this review after going through a complete disaster in my Adelaide trip plan coming from Melbourne caused because of the inhuman customer services… They cancelled our booking 2 hours before check in saying you have not made a late check in arrangements and also I have clearly explained them my daughter was not feeling well during the drive that’s the reason we have pulled over the car.the customer service was saying we have to fill up a form and send all our credit card information but I have informed them I am in a mid of country road where i barely get signal.but she straight away said that’s not her problem if I didn’t send the form she is going to cancel our room and not even given 30 min time she straight away cancelled our room even though I have explained my situation about my daughter… really at that time I was standing in mid of the road with my family and friends don’t know what to do.this incident even made me to think how brutal a human can behave to another, even this affected me mentally.additional note my friend even try to convince them to the core but still she have given insulting reply.still I am wondering how a person from a hospitality team can speak like that.if there is a negative star definitely I would have given that.

The receptionist was so friendly and inviting. Room was clean and amples of clothes space for longer stays.
Only thing that would be nice is to have wine glasses Available in the rooms. All In all good location and good price

If you book early and get the cheapest price possible it's Closer to value for money. The pool and spa close @ 8 and don't open realistically till after breakfast due to the staff availablity. I personally only choose this particular hotel for its outdoor courtyard area. I am now very aware that for the price It would be wiser to look into your competitors. If a hotel has a gym, pool, spa, ECT it needs to be open odd hours. I understand it's difficult but we live in a 24hour world most of us don't have the luxury of 9-5 days
That being said the bed was good and the staff were polite.
I would stay again but only if I was able to secure the room at a more competitive price.

From the country.not used to seeking Accessible accommodation & after many nothing available at short notice, I was very anxious. From the second Bree answered the phone, it all became sooooo much easier. I was so relieved & grateful for her assistance, manner & ease of booking - I straight told her she was making me VERY HAPPY.
Originally booked for 1 night in one of the accessible rooms but then after a medical appointment, my friend required 2 further nights. Rang Bree again - no issue - easy. Again so relieved & grateful.
I have read many of the other reviews & will concur that this is not a streamline modern facility BUT it is VERY CLEAN & nothing was too much trouble for Bree or the other staff. The convenience to shops, restaurants & arterial Adelaide roads was fabulous. We were very comfortable, felt safe & my friend with mobility issues said it was the best night sleep he had had for ages & felt his money was well spent.
The beds were comfortable, good pressure in the shower, air conditioner worked well.
We required ground floor accommodation & yes we could hear the expected traffic etc.that comes along with staying in a busy hub area, however this was minor compared to the positives.
The guide on the remote was non functional in the first room we stayed in, I think it was a generic one. We did not ask for it to be sorted, but am sure it would have been, had we asked.
The gap under the door to the courtyard in the second room, could do with a sausage roll thing to minimise the cold air coming it, but we just put a couple cushions up against it.
The breakfast menu is not vast, but we were VERY happy to be able to get breakfast in house at an excellent price, service with a smile & the coffee was AMAZING. If you require a bigger breakfast, plenty to choose from nearby.
In the current environment, we feel that the Adelaide Inn have adapted to the situation in a way that still caters to guests, with care & consideration, providing the important things in a clean & comfortable way. There would be no hesitation to stay again - would look forward to it.

Very disappointing customer service. Leaking roof in our bathroom. The drip noise kept me and my friend awake all night. Slipped on the puddle of wet tiles in the morning, almost fell down hard. Staff offered another 2 rooms but both were inferior to the one we booked (one was on the noisy main road, the other had a small child's bed for second bed) We checked out and went to another hotel. The customer service from Bree the Manager has been appalling. Accused me of lying about the drip, but the maintenance man saw it with his own eyes! Bree did not ned any of my phone cals. That was a week ago and I still have not received a refund nor my $100 security deposit.

First room we were given smelt of sewerage it was disgusting, continental breakfast is deceptive and not as usual and also doesn't start till 8am way to late, on our second night we got back to hotel at 9pm to find there was no hot water and none again in the morning and no-one at reception to fix this, we had to leave without showering There is also very limited parking and they charge you $20 to save a spot, we are booked here again in months time but we will be cancelling this and going elsewhere

Parking for guests needs to be sorted out. A P plater parked right by the entrance, not in a parking spot. All parks taken on arrival despite paying way too much for the privilege.

Comfortable, clean well maintained accommodation in a good location. If you want really modern/flash accom this isn't for you it's dated but as above is really clean/ comfy and well maintained.
If driving make sure you reserve a park though.

Firstly, the location is excellent. Very close to the city with neurons and beams dotted around and restaurants on the vibrant street the inn calls home. And Glenelg beach close by. Staff were wonderful, helpful and attentive the whole time. The pool and spa were a treat to have aswell. Inside the hotel the rooms and bedding are nice and there was no trouble parking. One thing that disappoints is the that there is no sink/microwave in your room. The only place to fill up water bottles is via the awkward sink in your bathroom and warming up food has to be done in the restaurant which has no lighting provided and gets very dark after hours. Breakfast is actually very quality and is free if you stay. Feels a bit understaffed when it's busy as one person runs ordering, brewing of drinks and making of the food. Good spot overall.

Ok the location is excellent. Great restaurants close by.
Thr hotel is dog friendly but I am not sure the management have a good grasp on what that means. Dogs bark, whether they are alone or not. Other guests should be informed the hotel is dog friendly.
The pool is nice and great on a hot day. There has been some good renovation to the rooms but powerpoints are needed next to beds for charging devices, etc. Bathroom is small but shower pressure is great!

Been staying here for 10 years. Good reasonable rooms close to the city.
Good value for money.

The bed was comfortable but very noisy place.
Don't expect a bit of a sleep in on a Sunday morning! You'll get woken up early! Also very obnoxious guests making a racket late at night!

We had a amazing stay here! The staff were so friendly! Bree was very accommodating and also the lovely lady in the morning (cant remember name). The bed, pillows and sofa were so comfortable and enjoyed the spa bath in the morning! I will definitely book here again!
