Acumedica

I recently had a session with Dr Cathryn Costa from Acumedica as I had developed mastitis and had a great trouble healing from this. Cathryn was empathetic of my troubles, warm, extremely knowledgable both from an chinese medicine point of view and as a midwife and was able to assist me to heal and gain a better understanding of the condition and what I can do to treat it. Her clinic is in a beautiful setting and was very clean and comfortable. All in all I had a very positive experience with Acumedica and not only will I return I will also recommend Acumedica to family and friends.

Through Acumedica, I have received acupuncture to assist with healing following a laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst, regular treatment during an IVF cycle and now during pregnancy.

I have learnt how to approach my health holistically, and I always leave Acumedica infinitely more relaxed. Because of Cathryn's wisdom, knowledge and expertise, I have been able to let go of pressure/stress and truly enjoy my fertility journey.

I am now almost 37 weeks! Without Cathryn’s help, I don’t believe my partner and I would have been successful in our first cycle of IVF. Cathryn is extremely thorough, caring and knowledgeable and has been a huge support before and during my pregnancy.

I would highly recommend seeing Cathryn she has been amazing help throughout my pregnancy. I had a ultrasound at 35 weeks and my amniotic fluid was low she fit me in for acupuncture and at my next ultrasound the fluid was well above what it needed to be! I look forward to the last few weeks of my pregnancy knowing I have weekly appointments with her.

Cannot thank Cathryn enough for supporting me throughout preconception to birth of my first bub. Cathryn was a wealth of knowledge and so supportive, throughout. She is such a caring professional who genuinely wants to make a difference for you! She has picked up things that GP’s and specialist haven’t and I can’t believe how my health has improved- it was almost instant, like flicking a light switch! I first started to see Cathryn to try acupuncture to help with my endometriosis pain. She is extremely knowledgeable in this field and has helped me to manage the pain more than any doctor had. This lady is the best naturopath I’ve ever seen! I’ve struggled with endometriosis, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, would go weeks between toileting couldn’t lose weight even after doing the inka trail & saw so many specialists and this woman was the one to help me when no one else could. I initially saw Cathryn at Acumedica for treatment with hormonal imbalances. I was amazed at how effective acupuncture was in regulating my cycle! Over the time that I saw her she also helped me realise how my chronic back pain, stress and sleep issues were all related. It wasn't an overnight fix but I feel because she draws from different teachings she was able to provide a well-rounded treatments which were very effective for me.
