The guys did a great job installing the fence and retaining plinths. Our commendations go to Paul and Kym for their great work which went above and beyond our expectations. They were extra careful with the neighbor's hedges and their attention to detail and professionalism was beyond reproach. The neighbour was very pleased with the outcome too. It was professionally done and looks outstanding. The receptionist Rachel was very courteous and a pleasure to talk to. Our special thanks to Martin the owner for taking the time to answer all our enquires and dealing with the difficulties that arose. He was always available to answer our questions and easy to talk to, his advise was invaluable.

Active Fencing and Retaining have done an amazing job installing our retaining walls. We have walls up to 2m tall and the decorative sleepers really set it off. The team that worked on our walls were friendly, helpful and always updating us on the progress. Honestly the best retaining wall company in South Australia. From first contact right through completion the whole team including the office staff was there to help. Never did I feel uneasy and had a lack of trust and confidence as I have with other trades.

I had retaining walls installed with some modification during the process. However the team provided a cost effective solution to keep my build on schedule rather than going for council approval again. I also requested temporary fencing and a fence pull down which again the team catered for a good price point.

This company did an ok job with what they did on a domestic medium size project retaining walls. Their work was late and had to be pressed to complete after they delayed pouring of the slab. There were poor communications from their end which they blamed on others. Plans were misread and walls in places were not true/straight. The long and short was that other contractors were brought in to finish work.

Active Fencing & Retaining custom fabricated a beautiful side gate for our new home.

From our initial meeting where we presented them with the ideas we had for the gate, they listened to us and came back with a few options before we finally settled on the final design. Nothing was too much trouble for them no matter how many questions we asked and how many times we changed our mind!

We could not be happier with the gate in terms of quality and sturdiness and we could not fault their first rate customer service from all their employees and their staff on site who installed the gate.

Great communication, very reasonable pricing. We had an old railway sleeper retaining wall that was falling down, replaced with cement sleepers, so a fairly big job, but Jason, the guy who did our large job was amazing, he didn't mind my 3 year old watching and was up for a chat. Will be contacting them again very soon to do the rest of our retaining walls!

Recently we had a fence and gate installed at home.

The staff and work crew were terrific. With the covid-19 restrictions in place the crew did a great job and we all got on well. From the get go they listened to what we were after and we got exactly that.

The custom gate was the most complex part and even that was no issue with trial fits making sure it all worked before it went off to be powder coated.

The old adage that you get what you pay for is certainly true. Despite one other quote being way under that we were quoted for this job I have no hesitation in recommending Active Fencing and Retaining should you need something basic or as in our case a little more complex.
