23rd Street Distillery reviews
30Had a wonderful time. Food and staff were fantastic. Special shout out to Jade, whose recommendations were spot on! We'll definitely be back
Fantastic spot for food and drink. Only thing I can pick on is the place closing at 4pm! Beautiful summer weather and school holidays it would great if that summer vibe continued past 4. And having some cold drinks to purchase and take away.
Otherwise will totally be back there. Staff lovely and cocktails fantastic
And they say “only the Scottish can produce great scotch” - 23rd Street proving Australia has a great understanding of modern age contemporary scotch - all three uniquely different whisky’s each a treat.
I have tried gin from 23rd street distillery before, so when work brought me to Berri I had to go to the distillery for dinner.
It far exceeded my expectations - the food was delectable, the drinks were delicious and the service was next level. I would highly recommend going!
The food was amazing the service was friendly and I was able to get Christmas presents, had the best time
Did a masterclass with Brianna was just awesome. Such great service and atmosphere. Pizza was awesome and the charcuterie board was great too. I suggest you do the masterclass great information and you get too make your own 200ml bottle. Thanks guy's had great fun
Used the river revival voucher for our experience and would 100% do it again! Gemma was amazing and so helpful throughout the whole experience. Great drinks, delicious food and a beautiful venue!
Home of the popular gin you would find in any bottle-o. The food is surprisingly good and it is always packed and requires a booking on most nights. Indoor seating is very spacious.
Nice pizza and lovely drinks. Really friendly staff, definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy some nice food and drink.
Oh My GOD! What a meal… where to begin? !?
The food was amazing, the black truffle chicken breast was the best meal I’ve had in years. The black Angus steak was epic and cooked to perfection. You must try the pear and blue cheese - mind blown!
John and his team have created an amazing menu with modern flavours highlighting local produce!
We will be back again and again - thanks so much for a great meal! Looking forward to the next visit.
Don't waste your time coming here unless you have booked. We walked in and the restaurant was half empty to be told no more food just drinks. All we wanted was a few bowls of fries. To make matters worse the couple who walked in literally 3 minutes before us was allowed food. Double standards much.
Clearly whoever you have running the bar needs an attitude readjustment and to come back down off her pedalstool. If your staff can't handle more customers than clearly you need new staff. People should be able to walk in and order food and not be looked down upon. I guess I wasnt wearing my Gucci and loius vuitton clothes maybe ️
Travelled from Victoria with my partner to come here specifically…
Looks amazing, awesome vibe but it ends there’s
45min wait for 2 gin and tonics. 3 staff in the whole place. Ridiculous.
Order the oysters, chips entree, and a streak each main.
Steaks came out first, I said we asked for entrees first. Waitress left with our steak then returned with the oysters. They were nice. She then quickly returned with our steak. Which were obviously sitting there waiting. I order rare and it came well done.
Partner ordered medium and also got well done. I expect a $40 steak to at least be cooked right. Didn’t bother with dessert, as would’ve taken another hour.
Pretty damn disappointed. Paid too prices for mid quality food and poor service.
First time visiting today and we were very disappointed.
We Love your gin and drink it all the time, but unfortunately your slow service and bad attitude from one staff member let you down today.
Food was average, chicken salad was flavourless and the chicken was dry and over cooked, couldn’t eat it.
We waited 30 minutes for 3 simple gin and tonics and when I went in to enquire about the wait I was met with a rude attitude and told ‘it was going to be a while yet’. Another staff member then came over and said ‘I’ll get it ready for you now’. She was friendly.
Bad service and no apologies for our wait. Need far more staff on, it’s peak season so should not have to wait 30 minutes for a drink. Thought this place was going to be fab, but sadly very let down
Perfect way to spend the day with friends and family. Drink tastings for both adults and children and food available for most of the day.
I wanted to love this place, I really did. The grounds are lovely but seemingly at the expense of the customer experience. We were seated at a table at the front near the grass enjoying a drink when the sprinklers came on and absolutely soaked us, our table/drinks and my dog who was sitting on the grass next to the table. No staff to be found to complain to. It was 11am during the day, surely you expect people to be there and realise your sprinkler set up soaks the tables? They are also very inflexible with changes to the drink flights which on its own is ok but after leaving soaked and not finishing our drinks it was an extremely disappointing experience.
High prices for low quality.
Every dish served at our table was very ordinary, but with top of the range prices. Vegan burger was basically just a supermarket patty in a sugary bun, so it was simultaneously the most expensive and most bland burger I've ever had. Fish and chicken were way overcooked. Pizza was sparse af. Chips and wedges were flaccid. Sauces were underflavoured. I could go on.
The high prices reflected the fancy reno, but not the food.
Great venue and one of our favourite lots of gin. A highlight was the kids cordial tasting which kept our 4 year old niece very entertained.
Only complaint was that the wide open door let so many flys in to swarm our food which was semmi average. Service was also a little stilted.
Overall I'm glad we stopped, just maybe expected a little more from such a great brand.
Amazing! What an experience. Great food and cocktails. A great venue to spend an afternoon while visiting the Riverland. Well done guys.
Visited today with 2 other families, all of us have kids, the food was great, the drinks were great, and the service was awesome. The staff were friendly and really good with the kids, we come here every year, never had anything but a great experience
Very disappointed in our visit
Went in to taste with intention to purchase and was told you don't have a booking we can't serve you
Noted We could have been offered a spot at the bar or an empty table for a short time
