1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle Rundle Mall

The food is delicious, but you really need to improve your staff training.
My friend and I went to dine at around 8: 30, and a waitress came up to us and started sweeping the floor. A male waiter asked her if she had to do it now, she said otherwise when. She completely ignored us who were dining next to her.
I stopped her doing that next to us, but she didn't stop sweeping the floor, she just changed her position.
I know that 9 is the closing time, but it was not yet 9, and there were still customers dining there. Her behavior is very unhygienic and disrespectful to the customers.

Having seen the queues for 1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle I was keen to try for myself. You will probably have to queue but that's OK as you can watch the noodles being pulled to different thicknesses while you wait. I went with the original and i love that you get a choice of noodle thickness. I went with Thick as it was described as "very satisfying" and when my bowl arrived less than 5 minutes later that proved to be true. The large serve is generous. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Two days in a row, there was no radish in the noodles. Yesterday I ordered a bowl of beef noodles and there was no radish in it. I saw that everyone else had it, but I didn’t. I just endured it. Today I came to eat it and there was no radish. My friend who ate with me had it in his bowl, what does that mean? The business environment in Australia is so good that you get into trouble? Just fool people into serving food?

25 Oct 2023 2: 30pm, the male waiter who placed the order at the front desk had a bad attitude. If you don't want to work, you can choose to resign. Don't take it out on your customers.

Very quick service, got my noodle after two minutes. Great for a quick lunch. Beef soup and chili oil taste great!

For Adelaide, it is very good. Noodle has texture and not eating glue. The rest of the ingredients are very standard, got the taste of classic Lanzhou Ramen but not consider good. Decent fast food, worth a try.
Service is ok, atmosphere is reasonable, again, should not complaint that this is a shop in food court serving fast food, not any kind of god level ramen in Japan that need patient and respect what so ever.
Overall is happy, do the job and get it done well.

The counter service staff had no idea what the customer ordered. When picking up the meal, he was informed that it was for 3 portions. However, the waiter told me that it was 2 portions and asked me to go back to the food court and show her the order. The point is that we were sitting far apart during meal time. When I got the order back, she pointed to the bowl of noodles on the table and said: This is yours too, with a very disdainful expression. Am I paying to see how you look?

The food is not bad, but the service attitude is really bad. When I went to eat happily, the male waiter at the front desk gave me a slap in the face and his tone was very fierce. I saw that his tone was quite normal when chatting with his colleagues. The other girl had a good attitude. If you don't want to The service does not need to be at the front desk. If we greet you politely and still get a look, are my breasts not breast glands?

Amazing noodles with a bite and texture. Might have to queue but I think it's worth it.

I went this restaurant (Adelaide, Rundle mall)
The website say Monday - Friday close 8pm. I try to ask why already closed now? All the staffs on that day very unprofessional, not friendly at all. They not care what I ask the face not very welcoming! The food could be good and delicious but the customers service is very bad! If you don’t care up to you then.

Nothin wrong with the food.staffs need to be trained to be more professional.tryna order noodles at early noon when there's only few people in the line. 1 customer in front of me said I could order first bc they still deciding. Staff then still command me to get in the line？？Why did he reckon I would cut in straightly right before a customer's face？？？？I suppose staffs do not treat people differently as I clearly saw he was more enthusiastic to local customers. Hopefully it was my sensitivity and misunderstanding

Soup was good tasted pretty good but….
They gave a noodle sizing chart to choose from but I ended up getting like 5 different sizes of noodles. Skill issue
The portion was so little that when I left to get a spoon the staff came to clear my bowl of noodles thinking it was finished when I haven’t even started.
If you are there order the beef noodle without the chilli and add the chilli yourself as the chilli they add made the soup one dimensional and more numming compared to the table chilli which is more fragrant and gives more depth
In summary avoid if there is a queue there are better options

Even tho there was a long line, but as soon as you get to order, you won’t wait long. It has absolutely satisfied my Chinese appetite! It’s not as spicy as it looks but the chilly oil has so much fragrant. The price is really cheap as you get freshly pulled authentic Lamian! Nothing to complain.

The line was pretty long since it just opened, they had an open window where they assembled the dishes. The portions were quite average for the price but the let down was that I asked for no chilli for both bowls and one bowl did have chilli. Good thing I could have chilli but the person I was with can’t so we had to swap.

Bit concerning if they can’t follow certain instructions but otherwise the dishes were quite nice. I definitely recommend the soup noodles over the dry ones though.

Conveniently located at the entrance of Rundle Place Food Court. I highly recommend trying the Lanzhou Beef Noodle. Unlike other places, the noodles here are handmade, and the broth is prepared from beef bones, resulting in a delicious flavor. Even if you're not a fan of spicy food, I suggest adding a bit of chili - it's flavorful without being too spicy. Opting for a large portion is a wise choice, as you get to enjoy more noodles and beef. Of course, if you're looking for a quick lunch, regular is also a great option. The taste and authenticity are worth the visit!

I don't need to go to another city to eat beef noodles. So far, I don't think there's a competitor for the same food in Adelaide.
