Yorkeys Knob Boating Club reviews
67 Everyone's food was well presented and tasted lovely. They have two menus, the $15 specials on every day or the main menu.
Beware of the local kookaburras that swoop down while yr eating wanting a free feed.
Visited here with family while on holidays in Cairns. Glorious view out to Double Island. I had the garlic prawns - hubby the Barra and both were delicious. Great place to visit.
Honest pub food and cold beer in an idyllic setting.
I wish the courtesy bus went as far as Palm Cove, I could have settled in!
We turned up for dinner last Thursday @ 7: 30pm. After an hour's waiting, i enquired about the delay and was told that they were extremely busy and our food would take another 20 to 30 minutes to be served. After 30 minutes i came back, only to be told our food was another 15 minutes away. This would have had us served around 9: 30pm. At this stage I clearly expressed our disappointment. They acknowledged the situation was unacceptable, apologized profusely and offered a refund, which we took.
We finished the night with cheese and crackers at home.
There was clearly something very wrong in that kitchen on that night - the restaurant was not all that busy and we could see that hardly any food was coming out of the kitchen.
We give some credit to management for offering the refund and sincerely hope this was a once off bad day in that venue because the place has a great ambient, spectacular views and we'd like to come back.
Excellent.
We were four Brisbane friends visiting FNQ and dined twice at Yorkeys Knob Boating Club, and both times we enjoyed super food, nice service and a lovely dining experience on the deck overlooking the boat harbour.
It's well worth making a side trip to Yorkeys.
Thoroughly enjoyed a few cold beers, delicious chicken schnitzel and finished with espresso coffee. It's a beautiful location and the staff were friendly and efficient. What more do people want these days? Now on the bus back to Cairns. Great day out!
Beautiful place and view, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and can't wait to come back again.
Delicious, good service and what a view! Love the updated dinning area inside. We are locals but haven't been for years as we now live south side. But would love to return more often and book a booth, they look so cosy!
The Club that never lets you down.
The food is above average for the members and public and represents a huge improvement from that generally expected from 'clubs'. Congratulations to all Staff and Management with a special shout out to the kitchen.
The meals were very average, seafood marinara was dry and sticky with little seafood.
Garlic bread with cheese and bacon had very little bacon, some slices had no bacon.
The table was wobbly and we were told to fix our own table with coasters, 70 year old lady on her hands and knees wasn't a good look.
Limited table service, menu's were left on the table the whole time with little space to eat.
Had to ask for salt and pepper, had to ask for a spoon for the pasta.
In summary, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Great spot for a drink or some food. One of the cool spots in Cairns for a sunset with the North-West balcony facing the hills.
Celebrated my 58th Birthday with a lunch on the deck outside with small group. Excellent food and service at a truely stunning location overlooking the mooring and ay boats that mask you think about sailing away for a few hours and the view north and Double and Scout cap Islands whist6 having a refreshing breeze
Friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming to P & O cruise passengers. Beautiful view. Good prices. Nice little market place
Very good yacht club. The personal is very gently and the are very
nice. The best is the location as have few great beach around.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome menu (especially the Wagyu burger and jalepeno poppers) beautiful views, all around, I can't recommend it any higher.
Very disappointed to get the courtesy bus from Trinity Beach to Yorkeys Knob boat club the other day. Was picked up and delivered on time, no problems however upon time to leave we were informed that the bus was not running due to a problem with the brakes and we would have to find our own way home.
No offer of assistance. Very poor service
Chicken Kiev not cooked properly, they reheated it came out like rubber sent back again had the roast instead. Menu not a lot to choose from like only one steak.rump, need more to choose from, no chicken Parma what places these days don't have chick Parma on their menu. Sorry not a good over all experience.
I came here with some friends on the 25th Oct for my Birthday. Julie-Ann was the lady who helped organize our table and the settings. I can not stress enough of how much Julie-Ann went above and beyond to make my Birthday so special. Her customer service and friendliness was above expectations and she catered for everyone's individual needs.
Could not recommend this place and Julie-Ann enough enough to anyone.
Thanks so much for making it so special.
Kind regards Danielle.
Cold beers good food great company what more could you want on a Sunday afternoon looking out across the ocean
Was okay. Nothing to write home to mum about, fish and chips down the road would of been more of a culinary delight. Besides the location of sitting on a dock and views of a marina it's just pretty much where people go to pretend their not plebeians.
