YMCA OP SHOP reviews
20 The staff are really lovely and very helpful.
The shop itself is clean & well set out, clothing sorted into sizes etc, which is always helpful.
However, the pricing is quite high for an op shop. Outside they have some good cheap racks & other things discounted, but inside the pricing is very high. I think even more than some of the other big name op shops I've reviewed.
I would not have even Purchased anything if not for the buy 1 get another free equal to or same price sale they had going. Otherwise wanting to charge $10 for a millers dress that was obviously second hand is highway robbery.
Plenty of parking on-site, it may be different mon- fri due to being in a business district & located practically on a main road.
Easy parking. Staff members here are friendly and helpful. Goods are well presented and reasonably priced. There's even a rewards program! Great way to reuse and recycle goods.
First visit last Saturday. Really well organised and clean. And the staff was lovely. One lady showed me the navy version of a red striped top I was already buying so I purchased that too! Will be back
It was the first visit to this op shop in Upper Mount Gravatt yesterday.
Outfront is good off-street parking. They have tables of goods out front too and some on special.
We were welcomed to the shop by lady who asked if we had visited before and told us where the dressing rooms were. A good start.
This shop has an interesting array of goods, not overly sanitised like a lot of the newer revamped charity shops.
So it was far more interesting to have a delve through. There were some vintage and old items as well.
Certainly the usual ladies and men's clothes, shoes, handbags, scarves children's toys, games, etc.
The kitchenware was of older varieties rather than just new 'Kmart type' pieces. There were also some useful and varied bits and pieces that were common in Op Shops before they tried to be like a mainstream store.overly sanitised, overly glamorized and overpriced!
It was a bit of a debacle and a long wait to pay at the counter despite there being four staff behind the bench. Seemingly no routine or order? Or perhaps volunteers had a lack of awareness that others were on their lunch hour and needed to return to work or simply didn't have endless time on their hands. Not everyone is retired. It took a long time to get to pay for our few items. There was a queue of people waiting to be served.
We were happy with our few bargains and would return as most prices were reasonable and the variety of goods was interesting.
Fantastic store for kids clothing! Fill a bag for $5 out the front was fantastic. Good quality clothing. Great layout. Not much in the way of women's clothing (maybe not my style). ️ Great for baby gifts. Lots of gorgeous handmade items in kids toy area.
Will be back again. Also wonderful service.
I went there today for the second time and just want to say how lovely the staff are. They are genuine and friendly to all their customers and really make shopping there a pleasure. Plus a walked away with a couple of great buys. Thank you:)
Love this op shop. Staff friendly and helpful. Pricing is great! I should keep it a secret but I even found some very nice, brand new high end labeled dresses and jeans. Store is clean and tidy. Don't rush looking over things or you will miss their little treasures everywhere.
Even explained the Breakfast for kids program to me. They do such good work. Drop a dollar or two and help. It will be very appreciated.
The staff were really friendly here. There were lots of nice items of many varieties. Lots of vintage clothing! It felt a little packed in but wasn't unpleasant.
Easily my favourite Op Shop. Not big and doesn't blow your mind, but always has something that I'm really happy with. It's very clean, there's kind people, and has a nice atmosphere. Love it!
Has some nice stuff but way over priced for an op shop. Some of things in there I could buy brand new for the same price.
The lady that served us was lovely! She went out of her way to make sure I found exactly what I was looking for and then some.
Something for everyone here as well. 10/10 recommend.
This is the best op shop! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. A huge range to choose from.
Really good selection of clothes and i came out with really nice summer clothes very happy, and the manager was lovely
Awesome op shop crammed packed full of treasures to rummage through very clean and lovely friendly staff great prices
Great customer service, clean & tidy shop with plenty of good quality and interesting items at a reasonable price,?
Beautiful staff and volunteers who are very welcoming and always go the extra mile. Great prices and wide range of items. The best part - profits go back into the local community to help people who need it. Highly recommend this Op Shop!
Gorgeous Little shop. Lovely helpful staff. Can find some great little treasures here for a few bucks.
Good little shop, friendly and helpful staff.
Wish the clothes were arranged by sizes like the Salvos and Lifeline so it'll be easier to find the clothes that fit you. Because of this, if I don't have much time, I go to the other stores instead.
Awesome op shop I am doing my prac part of my certificate 2 in retail here and everyone is so friendly I enjoy working here and so do my friends. I personally go to the Ymca vocational school in North Lakes. Its a great, safe and welcoming place with a welcoming family friendly atmosphere
This is the place to go to pick up a bargain. Everything is of high standard and all proceeds go to Ymca Breakfast program which delivers breakfast to students in local schools
