World Gym Caloundra

After multiple previous members advising me not to go due to rude and unprofessional staff, i found out first hand exactly what they where talking about.firstly i was met with a arrogant rude woman in civilian clothing, requesting i put my gym bag away (gym bag was tucked under my feet away from everyone) within 2 minuets she returned asking what my issue was, i asked what her issue was to keep harassing me, she couldn't give any reason other than shes one of the gym managers here.within 30 seconds of that, i was approached and rudely interrupted again by another woman claiming to be the manager - she also aggressively asked what my issue was, not only coming across as aggressive, she couldn't even put her mobile phone down to talk to me in private- within 5 minuets of being in the gym ive been harassed twice by 2 Karens.the excuse they gave was a gym bag is a liability - 15 years of being in gyms all over Australia, worldwide and owning my own gym, including training at multiple world gyms, never has this been a issue, never has anyone tripped over a gym bag.this gym is managed by people who have clearly never been in a gym longer than a week, people who have no customer relationships or managerial experience.

Do not waste your time and effort, its not worth loosing brain-cells over.

The 2 door staff are really nice and pleasant to deal with and talk too, just the two Karens who think they own the place, brain dead.

As you know it’s not a liability, you’re just too coward to state you don’t trust your members to not steal equipment. It’s nothing to do with safety or etiquette, other wise all world gyms would hold the same standard.

Maybe if you weren’t so rude and unprofessional people would actually listen to you, it was humours that such a liability was over looked when I told you I just wouldn’t return.

Extremely Poor management on your behalf.

The gym has a lot to offer, however the environment the owners allow is it’s downfall.
Be nice if the owners brought in some ruling regarding so much filming by individuals with no respect of other gym goers.
Every work out feel as though I’m dodging someone’s selfie mode, camera recording or filming themself dancing, then world gym re shares these post in support of this behaviour with strangers going about their days in the background.
Please consider some people may have DV orders and don’t wished to be filmed and located by someone, and all gym goers should have their privacy respected.

I don't go to World Gym, my wife does. After being a member for years past her contract, she tried to pause her membership because she was pregnant but she came home telling me they couldn't pause it as long as we wanted so the only option was to cancel. Then that process took long enough for another payment to come out. She went back recently to start there again and was told she had to pay a new member joining fee which wasn't cheap (considering the number of other gyms offering free sign-up contracts). After talking to the owner they said they could discount the joining fee to about $45 I think it was which is a joke. She was a member for years and only wanted to pause her membership because she had a baby. Expecting her to pay another joining fee is a joke and terrible customer service. If I had been there, they would have either waived the fee completely or I would have been taking our business elsewhere. She wanted to stay there because they are the only gym near home with child minding but I couldn't care less about that. I'd prefer to look after our son every time she wants to train rather than pay a monthly fee to a gym with terrible customer service.

Massive gym with plenty of space. Very popular so will obviously be busy at peak times. I was very comfortable training there as a full shared gender gym.

Second home. The gym that lacks nothing. But has everything. It's a pure pleasure to be a part of the WG Caloundra family

Great gym. I'm a regular and has a huge selection of equipment and a protein shake bar!

Best gym on the Sunshine Coast, has a proper hot rock sauna. The staff are really helpful, the gum is really clean. Lots of space and lots of well maintained equipment. They make delicious protein smoothies and sell Fueled meals.

This gym has set a bench mark of how a gym should be managed, staff have a second to none friendly approach to there members and owners ricki and craig go above and beyond to make this club feel like home, i have been to various gyms on the coast but have to say world gym caloundra is by far well above any gym on the coast keep up the outstanding work guys

Great gym with a massive range of equipment Rickie was super helpful with answering all my questions when signing up and getting started with Pilates and group class.

I can not speak anymore higher than World Gym Caloundra.
This is by far the best gym I have ever been too, I highly recommend this place to my family and friends!
The owners Ricky & Craig were so welcoming and so helpful!
I had the best gym session of my life at this place. I will definitely be coming back!

Amazing Gym! In many regards one of the best Ive been to.

Unfortunately they are playing sh** music so loud that even with headphones on full volume I still have to suffer through it. It really stands in the way of a good workout.

Don’t work here! Don’t even bother being a member!

As a former membership consultant here, I can confidently say that if you’re looking for a job, do yourself a favour and work anywhere else on the Sunshine Coast than World Gym Caloundra.

Management are bullies.

If you have a question, an opinion, question your pay/commission, or in my case, stand up for yourself and your team, you will get fired, and very quickly too.

If you work here, you’ll most likely never be trained properly and just expected to know everything straight away. You’ll also be put down, lied to and bullied numerous times per day by management.

Members, you’re not safe either.
Management are often daily making fun of members and prospects if you dare question anything on your account or payments.
She is in the back office calling members names like “Bottomfeeders” if you question anything. All you are is a dollar sign to management. They honestly don’t care about you.

Funnily enough, World Gym Caloundra charges fees that you won’t have to pay at any other World Gym. Things like joining fees or transferring your membership cost anywhere $75-$100. At other World Gym’s it’s free to transfer and worst case, $30 to join.
This pretty much sums up what their business values and ethics are. They only care about money.

Even though my experience occurred in January 2022 (and thankfully no longer than 5 weeks because I do not tolerate being treated badly), it’s so sad to continually hear stories about other staff members being bullied and/or being fired for similar reasons to myself.

For this reason, I decided it was really important to leave my feedback about World Gym Caloundra so others hopefully don’t experience what I went through.

After 12 years in the fitness industry, this is easily the poorest run gym I’ve ever come across, with even worse management.

Please, get a job ANYWHERE else but here!

Please, don’t support a business who behind the scenes are treating their staff so poorly.

Such a supportive community with awesome equipment catering for people of all ages and abilities. Classes held in rooms. Bathrooms have saunas, showers, lockers, hair dryers etc. Couldn't recommend this gym highly enough. Front of house staff make a killer coffee too!

If there was a 0-star option, that's what World Gym Caloundra deserves, but I suppose a 1-star will have to do, unfortunately.

After seeing what this juiced-up corporate company is doing to MANY local small businesses In the Aura area, I can confidently say that I, along with many others who stand by me, will never support this world gym location again. If COVID-19 has taught our community anything, it's to support LOCAL, I guess you didn't get the memo. Might I add, how incompetent the "trainers" are? Do yourselves a favour and go educate your staff on how to properly coach clients before someone gets hurt.

Great gym and even better community. Best equipment by far on the Sunshine Coast and the gym is always clean, its refreshing and shows the owners take pride in their business.

Really good quality gym on the sunny coast probably one of the best but I’ve had a few things stolen from other gym members while working out and I reported it to the staff and gave them exact times when they would of been taken and what locations in the gym and they didn’t do anything about it…. Well the cleaner actually never got back to the staff in morning like she said she would because I doubled checked the next day and whoever I spoke to told me otherwise and I asked if you have checked the footage a couple days to a week later and yeah you say you checked for hours but if you did I would know exactly what happened to my earphones instead of been spoken to rudely about it. On top of that I had to contact you myself to find out updates about it all even though you said you would have contacted me when you had checked the cameras so no you barely checked cameras or if you did you must be blind or you could of asked me to come in to have a look so you could have more of an idea what happened to my earphones and I know other people that have had stuff stolen to from here and never got it back.

Do you self a favour and train somewhere else on holidays, so many different rules between world gyms. Poor communication of gym rules
