Woolworths reviews
45There seems to be an improvement in staff attitude and service standards lately. Well done.
We recommend hot snacks that are not available at Woolworld in Cairns Central. The fries, chicken nuggets, and chicken wings were all delicious.
I wanted to buy fruit, bottled water etc. Was told there were no trolley's. With a baby this was impossible. Disappointed and heading to Coles
Large selection of organic products. Bundles of fresh herbs and greens are larger than those at Coles for a similar price. Only problem is trying to get a nearby parking spot at times.
Been here several times and generally experienced poor service here. The staff are too busy chatting to each other to help.
Disgusting service from the women at the coffee counter again. The lady with the short hair is always friendly and scans my salad or biscuits as I buy my coffee in the morning. But the other lady refuses! Today I was in line with no one behind me she walked over towards me waving and speaking to a friend then asked my order after she made my coffee and put it through 1 person stepped in line behind me. I asked if I could please purchase my biscuits while I was here and she says in a rude tone “ no you have to go up the front I’m way too busy”. This was completely rude and upsetting I get my coffee here a lot so this isn’t a first from her. If there was a rush or a genuine line up I wouldn’t have asked! Very disappointed as I was very polite I deserve the same respect.
Some staff seem ignorant & unfriendly. Especially the older lady with heaps of make up on at the cigarette counter. No humour, no compassion or understanding, just seems like she hates people & doesn't take much time to be kind. Yes, your energy will speak volumes
Convenient Woolies in heart of the city. I like that it has entrants on both ends of the store.not that I have a sense of direction or know how to get back to the hotel but my partner tells me it's handy to be able to cut through to the other side on the same at to or from the hotel.
Not a Woolworths you can do a weekly shop disappointing they dont sell pizzas anymore good to get bits and pieces though
Everything you can expect from a Woolworths, large variety of food and drink options. The added bonus is that there is two access points from Lake Street and from Abbott Street. This allows for easy access and for us a way through from one side to the other in the middle of the block. Each time we went back to our hotel room we went through the Woolworths and collected some more groceries or a drink / snack!
What a terrible shopping experience that was. Never again and to top it off, got home and found rotten oranges in my bag. 2 stars is for the 2 helpful staff I encountered. Nothing for the place itself.
Hard to do big shop as they don't have trollies there plus there registers crashed so a long wait as they where unsure how to deal with it
WOW. Woolworths Cairns, definitely a place to shop. The usual good deals for the weekly specials, not to mention well maintained shelves and smiling team members makes up a good store. Well worth a visit, if in the City.
Clean spacious well organised with lots of space. Impressed to see hot food available in the bbq chicken department. Also take note friendly and helpful staff.
Love the variety of all kinds of fruits, vegetables, food and goods. Very helpful staff. Allowed to self check out. Card and cash available.
It's a great place to get all your groceries and the staff are always there to help you with anything
Came to shop here but they don’t have trolleys! When challenged the staff member offered me an oversized basket! Not sure what the point of a huge supermarket like this one is if you cannot buy more than a dozen items at once. This is nuts. Off to the Coles who assure me they do have trolleys.
I have shopped here many times. I love getting the curry and rice - freshly served. It comes with a good amount of food for the price you pay and so delicious!
Well located in City Centre, good range but due to Council regulations, no shopping trolleys, so no good for larger shops.
