Winston Glades Family Practice

After being away for 7 years it was amazing to get into see our old doctor! The new place look amazing. Very modern.

Have attended this surgery the last two Saturdays for appointments with doctor Maryam. Due to my doctor being away on holidays - I’ve had no option but to see her to gain very important test results. Both times I have experienced crazy waits times of up to an hour and 40 mins just to get into see her. The first time I attended I was met with extreme disrespectful attuide after being told by reception all my test results were back (even clarified what results I wanted to check for before even making a booking) to only be belittled by the doctor when she abruptly told me that the most important test result isn’t back and then continue to question me about who told me they were etc

My second appointment was worst then the first experience. After waiting for an hour for my appointment - I approached reception to ask if I was next and advised I would be. The comments from reception when I expressed my frustrations was - I can’t control how far the doctor is behind. I simply said I understand being behind but an hour late is more than a little behind.

Things just got worst from there - finally was called in by the doctor and before I could even take a seat - I was questioned on why I was complaining about how far behind she was and how weekends are the super busy period and more high priority patients that come in get pushed in front due to their level of sickness. I get that and that’s fine but to be approached by a health care professional like that is just disrespectful and not necessary - she continued to question me while I continued to ask to get my test results and be able to leave so the patients that had been waiting just as long as I had - could be seen.

I’ve never felt so uncomfortable and extremely frustrated with the lack of care, respect and attitude she had. Their is better ways to approach the situation and the way she handled it is diguesting

I would recommend any other doctor there over her - I’ve just had multiple negative experiences and the way she advised my results in both appointments was just not up the standards that a doctor should be at. Some compassion should be held as these test results could have ultimately changed my life

Booked a appointment after 10 minutes got told that's the end of the appointment and I was no where close to finishing what I needed from doctor, was told I had to book another appointment and what pay again, no thank you. 93 dollars for 10 minutes with with 33 or so dollars back to my account, no wonder no one can afford to go to doctors.

Went and saw Dr Wijesinghe, was very busy but still took the time to give details on the diagnosis, treatment and was very thorough. I will be back again.

Very bad service just went there after getting metal in my eye and the lady said sorry we don’t do emergency lol

My name is Sue, about 2 years ago I moved out of Victoria and moved to Leichhardt QLD. I started seeing Dr Mahani at Winston Glades family practice.
She is a very competent and caring doctor who has made me feel comfortable. The staff at Winston Glades are very helpful and happy, and ALWAYS do their best to help their patients.

Dr Ashleigh Edwards was fantastic! It was our first time seeing Dr Edwards for our little girl who is 4 weeks old. She was thorough, compassionate and made you feel instantly comfortable when we walked in. Could not recommend Dr Edwards enough especially if you have a little one.

Very friendly staff and doctors. I have been going here for 5 years now and am very happy.

We saw Dr Nuwan this morning, as with all the Drs at WGFP, he was kind, compassionate and thorough. We were not rushed through the door and were given plenty of time to understand and ask questions. We left with information, reassurance, a plan if things progressed over the weekend and a follow up appointment early next week. We also had scans to confirm the extent of diagnosis and a plan if diagnosis had progressed more than visually indicated. I would highly recommend Dr Nuwan and the Drs at WGFP.

Was good the first few times, now if you can get an appointment doctors are running so far behind it’s not funny. My last appointment was changed to a telehealth app as the doctor wasn’t well, waited by the phone for an hour past my appointment time, rang the practice only to be told the doctor went home hours earlier, I could go on but not worth it.

As a new patient, I was feeling pretty insecure. Nurse Ann and Dr Danish put me so much at ease. I feel I can trust them.

WG Family Practice is a gorgeous and clean clinic with professional doctors.
While I received fine treatment from the doctor, I cannot say the same for one of the receptionists (white brunette lady). I was told my appointment had an out of pocket fee as it was after the bulk billing hours. I told them I was not informed of this at the time of booking and she responded it was stated on their online booking system. I was unable to book online as I am a new patient so called instead. My issue is not so much the out of pocket fee ($40), though I would have preferred if they made it clear when I called, rather my issue lies in how the receptionist ignored me despite my repeating it wasn’t mentioned. I feel like she thought I was lying and it made me feel dismissed and small. I’ve been keen to look for a family GP since we moved to Ipswich but this whole experience has made me very disappointed.

The staff are so helpful. The doctors are kind and thorough and so friendly. I highly recommend this place. We have seen 3 different doctors so far and they have all been really fantastic.

The nurses here are amazing, and the doctors are so caring and understanding. Best practice I have ever been to and will never go to another doctor again:)

Very good practice with no long waiting times from my experiences with other practices. Dr Noorani is great and is very experienced, he listens and gets right down to business in finding and fixing or managing my health concerns. Would definitely recommend.

The doctor was very friendly, and very thorough. I went in with an injury to my knee and he sent me for an x-ray and an ultrasound, which turned out to be a very good decision.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE, I saw 2 different doctors here and BOTH have done terrible things, Ashleigh Edwards said o was pregnant when it was a cyst, and doctor Daniel toft told me everything was fine when it wasn't and 3 months later I'm at a CANCER CLINIC IN BRISBANE, do not go here

My little man loved Nurse Ann! He had the biggest smiles & she was so so lovely. I go to Dr Daniel Toft & I highly recommend him! This place is absolutely amazing for young families & they’re all so so lovely! ️
Will be recommending this family practice to my friends & family!

Easy parking, comfortable waiting room, friendly staff, appointment happened at the appointed time and I saw a doctor who was interested in doctoring.
