Willow & Spoon reviews
64Wonderful staff, atmosphere and coffee is fantastic. Unfortunately, I've experienced rotten poached eggs twice and food poisoning from an aioli on another occasion and just had to write a review: (
Nice Cafe, they have put a lot of effort into turning an unusual space into something on trend and comfortable.
Breakfast menu more lunchish. " is that a word " service was excellent.coffee amazing.just like to see more Breakfast related menu
Firstly, every bit of service I got was 5/5. From the moment I arrived really friendly helpful service.
The outside is a little deceptive as they have a takeaway window, and with everyone waiting, it kinda gave me the impression they were busy. They weren't.
Again a little deceptive as they have indoor seating, which is a small space, I think maybe 6-8 tables. Then they have 'out the back'. It wasn't till I went to use the restroom that I actually saw how much available seating was there. It's a decent space to fit more people in.
I was very tempted by everything on the menu & had I seen the gigantic muffins when I was ready to order, probably would have got one of them.
I was spoiled for choice and after ordering a coffee really didn't know what to get. I did ask if it was possible to just order a couple of eggs and toast, which they happily did. They offered a tomato relish, which was quite nice.
Pricing was reasonable for the area and what they had to offer.
I ended up ordering 2 coffees, one when I first got there and the second as I left. For some reason, the second one wasn't as great, and I can't put my finger on why. It wasn't awful, but the first one was definitely better.
Highly recommended
Wow, surprisingly amazing food.
We just wanted coffee and cake but they actually don't have cake. Muffins and cookies were just not what we wanted from Brisbane's "best cafe". So went through the menu of rather interesting sounding meals and had the mushroom dish. It was really quite good. That was the saving grace for our experience.
Also, great coffee.
Visited first time this place. The owner and staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Overpriced menu. Cafe sits on a quiet corner with ample street parking one can find easily.
Amazing food and attentive service from friendly staff. Easily accessible location. View/scenery pulls it back to 4.5 stars. Perfect for casual breakfast or early lunch.
Service was excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient.
Owner very approachable and gives you his time if you ask a question.
The food was very nice.
Will go back again to try something different from an unusual adventurous menu.
We held a function for 60 guests last night at Willow & Spoon. The food, staff and service were outstanding! The backyard garden looked fabulous and was so pretty too. Such a fantastic atmosphere. We had very good feedback from guests also. Thank you again to the new owner Matt, chef Mark and team for an excellent evening. We highly recommend everyone to hold their functions there
02.12.23 update
We have been there twice since the change of ownership. Still excellent and very consistent!
With so many instances of good little shops being destroyed by new management/ownership, we were initially a bit apprehensive about returning once we were aware of the change.
The new owners obviously know what they’re doing and I believe they will take the business to another level. The core elements that make Willow and Spoon such a great little destination have been retained while the shop’s fit out got refreshed.
Well done

This was our third visit.
Consistently excellent food and service.
Coffee was flavourful and well made. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our breakfast at Willow & Spoon. I always appreciate something a little different for breakfast & I certainly scored here. Fish tacos were my choice & they came out with perfectly cooked white fish in a crispy batter with a tasty salsa. Coffee by Fonzie Abbott was also quite good, needed the double shots as the cups were rather large
First time it was a bit confused experience, I ended up not having exactly what I wanted, such a nice place and I gave us a second chance and it was wonderful! Upstairs a nice and warm ambiance, just like the cafes we see at Pinterest. The backyard is my favourite place to take the kids and have a delicious coffee + the beautiful Kids bacon and eggs! I highly recommend this cafe for everybody!

Had a great coffee and breakie recently.
Fab service and the food was just as good.
Sit down the back of you can as it's nice and quiet and catches the morning sun.
OMG so damned good!
Australia does the best breakfasts, and the willow and spoon is a perfect example.
Please open up a Cafe in Düsseldorf, save us!
One of my favourite brunch food place in Brisbane! Delicious eggs Benedict with croissants and smoke salmon in the picture. Not only is the food good but the staff were all so lovely making the experience amazing.
If your looking for a brunch place would recommend willow and spoon.
It's always a good sign when you want to order every single thing off the menu. Great food. Generous portions (my friend made a great impression of a beached whale sunning herself). Awesome friendly service. Beautiful atmosphere. New favourite cafe to catch up with friends ️
What a marvellous place.had brunch there yesterday. Awesome food awesome service great location. Sitting out the back was lovely.
Honestly, this place is excellent and ticks all the boxes. Their new menu also provides a range of options, both for small and large appetites and budgets. Could not recommend more highly.
What a beautiful find! We have been eyeing off this cafe’ driving past as always saw a buzz outside:) so glad we finally managed to go. The food was amazing (the chips are to die for) and the service was stellar.
There’s a nice little area outside we could access with a pram.
Looking forward to going back soon!
Highly recommend if you are in the area.
