Vinnies Paddington reviews
21I regularly visit op shops for clothing, books, women's accessories, art/prints, tools/equipment for my pottery studio. Vinnies is a great store for all of these! The staff are friendly and helpful too.
Store is clean, well stocked, and well organised. Volunteers are friendly and helpful. There's an upstairs area with more 'vintage' clothing. Lots of nice finds here. However, a big disappointing factor is the price. A lot of things are overpriced. If I happen to be around the area I'd stop by, otherwise I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this store.
Very cute building. Good mix of items and well organised. Quite small but worth a visit. Somewhat overpriced - not super expensive but not bargains.
Cold staff who stare at you the whole time and very overpriced (I've seen better prices at actual vintage stores). The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because it is pretty clean and organised.
Lovely little store, everything is well organised with a great selection of clothes and jewellery. Prices are on the higher side. Also has a surprisingly good collection of shoes upstairs!
I think this place has forgotten the purpose of an opportunity shop. Pricing items at $230 seems absolutely ridiculous. Will not go here again when I can buy new clothes for the same price. Should be called vintage not opportunity. Good range if you have the money though
Expensive and very rude staff. Wasn’t allowed to use bathroom and was followed around the whole store. My sister who was with me got spoken to rudely and the staff basically accused us of stealing
Spacious store with a lot of good second-hand clothes and jewelry. I came at nearly closing time on Sunday but was able to score a crop sweater and pair of earrings right away. They were only $8 each - very good deal.
Great range but unfriendly staff. We dropped off around 10 bags of donations and the staff did not seem happy and one was quite rude when she saw that we were also dropping some more bags off at the neighbouring Red Cross (just trying to share the love). Wouldn’t donate to them again.
Fantastic stock with reasonable prices. I love stopping in at the Paddington Vinnies. They always have great stuff and the building is lovely.
The Vinnies with the most elegant dresses by far! My fiancée found her wedding dress and a lovely velvet dress here at very good prices. Friendly and efficient staff. Fascinating knick-knacks and a range of books, art, jewellery and sacramentals plus fine china and other homewares. Retro section upstairs. A short walk from the bus-stop. Remember to bring a bag of your own, or purchase one here for a dollar.
Got a nice little jacket here for 35. Staff are lovely. Could do with a larger variety like their superstore in Newmarket
Quaint and small but well stocked. No greeting as you walked in but staff smiled at me as I walked further into the back room. Very neat store with womens and mens clothing being the majority of the store but there is also a small amount of clothing accessories here and there along with earrings etc at the front counter. There is also really nice art lining the walls for sale. There is very limited (or none) shoes, formal wear, furniture, books or kids toys in the store. Clothing categorised well and pricing is fairly standard. Good mix of old and new brands - I found dresses from Kmart / Target with price tags but most of the clothing was very dated ie jackets from the 90s with floral prints or leopard pants. Something my Great Aunt would wear to church on a Sunday. Worth the drive but there are other options I would choose to visit first. No parking onsite and very very limited parking on the street (if any) so park and walk.
Friendly staff, amazing range of clothes, books and knick-knacks. Found a fabulous wedding dress at a very affordable price, plus a lovely ball gown. Excellent stock of formal dresses.
Always enjoy visiting this special Vinnie's which seems to have a different type of range to other thrift shops. Highly recommended for a good browse and o if you find something you like, you're doing it for a good cause.
Cool retro op shop with a lot of choice from clothes, homewares, furniture, books and more.prices are great - I got a zara pencil skirt for $4.service was friendly too.

Beautiful old historic building, good quality clothes and some interesting furniture, jewelry, retro wear and bric-a-brac. Most items priced quite high for a second hand store, so not great for true bargain hunters, but if you don't mind then you can actually get some nice stuff for a fair price (most items around the $10 mark).
I loved this place. If you dont mind pre-loved items, you can have a fantastic time rummaging through the wares here to find the perfect item or gift. The managers were very friendly and helped my find items for my wife and daughters. There were a lot of shoppers when I went, yet the staff were patient and friendly to all.
Not a whole lot on offer anymore. Used to be able to get some great furniture pieces, but next to nothing worthwhile, and frequently priced inappropriately.
Generally a disappointment.
