Vella's Fish Bar Sydney Street

We were recommended to try the food and definately do not regret that decision. Great fresh fish and chips, great prices and lots of value packs.

Great fish, perfectly cooked with lovely crunch batter and delicious crunchy potato cakes. Best fish I've had in a long time.

Food is great and the staff are friendly. I visit regularly and never had a bad feed. They are a well oiled machine pumping out the order's.

Take away then straight to the beach. Nothing beats Veila's fish and chips. Love this place and will always be our local go to spot!

Probably one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve been to. Reasonably priced and the chips were double fried which means a delicious crunchy outside and soft inside. There’s a large variety on the menu and the food is rather quick to come out. Perfect meal to take down to the beach on a weekend. Recommend the family pack with extra calamari which was so good!

Food was great, Phone Order and was ready by time i got there.it was correct as i ordered. It was Hot and Fresh. Definitely glad i tried it here i will be back.

Chips - great, half cup is a huge portion for one.
Tartare sauce - to die for! Phenomenal! Strongly recommend you get a serve, it's 2.50 but it's great and supposedly homemade.

It's the fish that loses a star for me. I got the mackerel. Beautifully crumbed, but fish wasn't great for me, seemed dry and tough.

Could be my bad luck, they do seem to have heaps of glowing reviews, maybe I got an older piece or an off cut.

Service quick and friendly, they seem well started and able to handle the rush.

I can count on Vella’s on Sydney for great quality fish and chips or good Aussie burgers every time! Thanks guys!

Great fish and chips. Huge servings. You can share 1 serving between two. It is popular and worth the wait. Shop is very clean and there is a great range of drinks

Always great fish and chips with great service and the fact they smile and know my order as I walk in makes me feel they care about their customers.

If there were ten stars it would suit this business. Never have I ever had a problem with the highest of standards in this establishment. Quick and friendly service, they always smile happy little vegemites and second to none for quality. Top effort to the Vellas.

Nice chip shop that was very popular on a Sunday. For this reason there was a bit of a wait. Serving size of chips was decent, nice and crunchy just needed more salt. Potato scallop was huge and smothered in batter - so good! Prices seem fair

My last post came as 1 star was ment to be 4, got them good Friday. Fish n chips were cooked lovely, squid to perfection.
