TYPO reviews
5 Typo used to have some quirky, interesting and original things. Certainly some items you could buy for a gift.
Now however it's all too predictable and ho-hum.
I haven't spent a dollar there in quite a while.
Best place in town for all your stationery needs on Harry Potter and Disney
One of my favourite shops, I love the different note books and things they have. I don't have a Typo in my home town so it is always fun for me to have alook at what they have.
I feel very sad and disappointed that I have to post this opinion. Yesterday I went into my local Typo store and purchased products for 28+dollars, which were 3 large wooden letters, biro and alpaca pencil sharpener and also bought the $5 calendar. When I arrived home I proceeded to show my daughter what I had bought for the grandies. When I got the sharpener out of the bag one of the ears was broken which to me at the time wasn't an issue I would just glue it back on. Once I had done that I noticed the top of the ear was broken also, I went to look in the bag to see if I could find it but no, although I did find other little bits of the colour from the blanket it has on. Maybe putting it in a little bag instead of with all the heavy wooden letters, would have been a better option. I then proceed to call and tell the girl very politely what my issue was. Well to me she was was very short on the phone but said she would exchange it. Today my Granddaughter and my Daughter took it back and were not too happy with the sniggering between the two cashiers and "is that all that's wrong with it why would you bother". Well to you young ladies I bothered because I bought it as I collect Alpaca
trinkets etc. It was not going to be used as a sharpener and even if I was it is none of your business. It may have only been $6.99 but might I just add that actually goes to paying your wages. So a little bit of respect and consideration for peoples feelings will go a long way. May I also add this has nothing to do with the Typo store, we all love going there and do so often. My rating is regarding customer service. By no means do I want these ladies to lose their jobs but maybe a quiet word would do.
Thank you.
