Had a great road trip from Sydney to Brisbane. The customer service at Sydney and Brisbane offices (Sam) was very friendly making the process simple with clear instructions. Our experience would have be 5* if the van we were given was newer - the Hitop camper must be at least 10 years old had plenty of wear and tear inside and out.

Great experience, had so much fun travelling in a van around Australia. The van was well equipped for my camping needs, easy to drive and get around. Definately recommend!

Great service, van was awesome and easy to pick up and drop off. Scott even dropped us off at the airport which was brilliant!

Great first road trip experience Kuga lived up to my expectations. Great vehicle, easy driving, comfort nothing to say between the beds, storage, fridge, water reserve.in short if I have another road trip to do, I will call on the Travelers Autobarn service again

Sam was warm, genuine and very helpful. Upon returning, I left my ukulele in the vehicle and when I rang flustered from the airport, Sam offered to bring it to me! What a guy, I cannot thank him enough! Incredible service, would recommend to anyone. ️️️️️

Very nice staff!
Our campervan did what it was supposed to. We are completely satisfied.

Very bad company
Vans dilapidated, poor quality, water leaking through the roof and windows, stove that did not work, fridge with leaks. Disrespectful after-sales service, no consideration of customers, no consideration of problems, no questioning. We were offered to buy tape to plug the holes in the windows and the roof… other customers told us that they had asked them to shelter the van in case of rain so that it wouldn't get wet.water! Good luck getting a campsite with a roof!

Take any other company, I don't wish you to go through what I went through with them.
If traveler's Autobarn replies to this message, you will see that they will probably accuse me

A lousy service. The price is not the same as on the web, they make you pay more once you have rented the van and they don't tell you until that moment. In our case, we pay to cover all the damages that could occur to the camper. They gave us the camper with a window in poor condition and the second day it flew away while we were driving, that window, we had to pay for it. We were charged $200 for that plastic window. Nobody answers the calls. When I start talking to them, they hang up on me without wanting to know anything. Unfortunately everything, nothing recommend.

We traveller nearly two months in Australia with Travellers Autobarn, both on the East and West Coast, and we have to recommend them. On the East Coast we went from Brisbane to Cairns.

Their price is fair (halfway between big motorhomes and smaller Campervans where we felt we wouldn’t feel that comfortable), the Campervan was very clean and had more than enough space to storage our bags, have dinner, work and sleep comfortably. It drives just like a regular car, you just have to be careful with the wind as you do with any tall vehicle. It parks anywhere and that was also the reason we went for it and not for a larger Campervan/motorhome. The kitchen had everything so we didn’t had to buy nothing additional. Mechanically we had no problem, the camper was surprisingly stable on the road, the tires looked nearly new, the gearbox was automatic and glad we chose that. The overall experience was great and their teams in Perth and Brisbane, upon the pick up helped us a lot with tips, instructions on how to use the camper, itineraries, and all of that (it was the first time we travelled on a camper so that just helped us feel more comfortable!). Oh and they have a whatsapp support in case you need anything and a lot of information on their website that can help with all the planning.

Hope this helps!:)

Name a better way to see this country aside from by road? I cant. Having the ability to beach hop my way up and down the coast, meet other van life travellers, explore different spots was an absolute dream. The staff catered to my.needs when required, and i never felt out of contact which was a great feeling. I couldn't recommend travelling this way enough

I did a awesome roadtrip from Brisbane to Sydney. The stationwagon did it very well and all stuff included in it are enough to spend a great time in your trip. Definitely will hire here again next time

The car was cool, but there were three major disappointments.
1. At pickup, we learned about the insurance policy: 3000 dollar charge for any incident, no matter of it was a tiny scratch, or if it was caused by someone else. Only way around this is to buy the over-priced insurance package.
2. We had a family emergency and had to return the car two weeks early, but autobarn did not grant a refund. (All other venues, hotels, airplane, ect.did refund us).
3. Even though we downloaded the linkt- toll app and paid all tolls online, autobarn charged an additional 75 dollar "administration fee".

Don't rent from this company unless you're ready for the worst communication you can imagine. This company has a general customer service and people working in the local shops. These two aren't aware of what the others are doing. I choose money over value but this was a wrong decision. I'm not a bitter person. The people working in Brisbane were great! They were very helpful and even let me do a test drive (since I'm from Europe and not used to this traffic). Sadly, the unclear communication overrules the positive points. I lost time and money (didn't even get a refund) and would never rent from Travellers Autobarn again.

Hiring a campervan from Travellers Autobarn was super easy! Great staff that gave me some awesome tips before I headed out on my trip. I had the Kuga Campervan and it was amazing and super handy having everything in there. This was my first time doing a roadtrip with a campervan and the ease of getting around was so good! Also used the app which was very handy in finding places to stay while on the go!

Pathetic. We rented a campervan, submitted all the requested information, payed, waited the whole weekend for the confirmation and now, just two hours away from the pick up time they sent us an email saying that the van is not available. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT RESPECT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT GIVING A GOOD SERVICE.

I've travelled around Queensland solo for the past 3 weeks in my Travellers Autobarn and it's been an incredible experience. It's been my my transport, my safety, my storage and my home, and I couldn't think of a better way to explore this beautiful state. Will definitely be travelling with you guys again.

Brisbane to Charlieville - 4 day hire for the Chubby Campervan with my partner and I - trip was amazing, van was cozy but semi-reliable (locks never worked properly upon pick-up and Traveller's Autobarn apologised but understandable couldn't do much as the vans are old).

Other downsides are that communication was poor, we requested an auto (as they say we should do on their website) and was told that they would get back to us. They never did and when we picked up the van they said there were no autos in the first place so only one of us could drive the entire trip.

Other than that, when dropping off the van, the staff was rude. We pressed the bell for help and we were ignored by staff who saw us waiting at the drop off office until we went into the pickup office to ask for help instead.

Overall the trip was amazing and the van was nice but I would check out other places before hiring here just due to communication & customer service.
