Total Tools Cairns reviews
22I purchased $800 worth of tool and was told I would have points to spend on the insider app. The next day I had $71.00 of credit to use after 14 day this money was gone. Talked to staff at Cairns store. Was in formed bad luck. Was planning to by more tools, will now be shopping at Sydney tools.
Wait weeks for purchase Total Tools is the perfect description of staff I had to deal with never again.
Luke from east brisbane helped me out with a issue today that wasnt even his problem but another store, Thanks Luke from sean from Cairns A one customer service to you mate
I had a really helpful and nice lady serve me at Total tools the other day. Couldn't of been more helpful
Bought some Dewalt tools and dropped a broken tool off to be services. They had it fixed and back to me in record time. Thanks heaps to Duncan and the boys!
Very rude team as when I was hanging up the team member on the phone proceeded to mock me for inquiring about an order
I recently purchased some tools at this store and was served by a young man by the name of Bailey if my memory serves me correctly. The service he provided was excellent, he had a real desire to help me and connected me with various people in the store to assist me. There was also another younger guy who was a welder I believe and provided me with some great advice. Thanks very much.
Went in store today to make the most of the mak cash offer. Shopped for a while to pick out a few grand worth of tools only to be met by a rude staff member which had me leaving the store without purchasing anything.
Gavin is great, I bought a lot of Kreg bits and pieces, and while I was there he showed me the huge variety of table saws and thicknessers they stock. (an impressive array of products for a FNQ Cairns based store, it's as good as any store in the state capitals).
The advice he gave was brutally honest, based on his personal experience with each product. He pointed out the good, and the bad points with each model so I could make an educated decision, and he didn't push me towards expensive ones.
My experience with this store was completely positive, each time I've been there I've been greeted and asked if I needed any help. I can't fault the staff in any way.
Lazy staff. No stock. Happy to take your money for online orders and then you'll wait weeks to receive it. Go to tradetools or cairns hardware.
I used to shop at Total Tools in Brisbane and had a great experience there. I had the opposite experience at Total Tools in Cairns - store manager was very unfriendly and unwilling to help, and I felt unwelcome as a customer here.
Nice shop, staff and prices but careful with warranties they are not like the big companies. They will fix your new tool, doesn't matter if you bought it the day before and didn't work.
What is going on with this store, we have a business in Construction in Cairns, my husband went in there again today, nothing on shelves. Was told they are not ordering any more stock.
Was amazed at the range of tools they had their. Everywhere I looked I just saw everything I ever need.
Large store with empty shelves, terrible layout and service. Don't bother going here. They have no stock. Buy online or even better go a few blocks back to "Cairns Hardwares" Toolshop.
Asked about when a certain item would be back in stock.
The 3 customer service people couldn't be bothered checking the computer or going to the shelf where the item was. They just said it would be in stock soon, just ring before you come back to make sure it is in stock.
Like it is even my job to do this. Pretty bad customer service folks. You could have checked your computer to give me a date as to when it would be in.
Every time I go to the store to get something there’s nothing but empty shelves. Weather it be empty boxes safety glasses, consumables, knipex pliers or individual sockets or spanners, Nil stock, and to make it worse it’s a constant game with hide and seek with the sales staff to get any service and when you do manage to spring one there disinterested and unhelpful. Thought I’d give total tools one last go after swearing never to darken the doors again last time only to be proved right yet again.
Fantastic customer service, very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store if you are chasing high quality gear at reasonable prices. Best thing is same as Sydney Tools prices but in Cairns AAA! Bout time we got a store like this here!
They help me from the start and asked what tools I need, pretty good. They are one of the best shop down south. And have quality tools just look and shop what you need. Thanks again.
The shop is well laid out, clean and stocks a good range. There’s good off street parking.
I’ve visited twice to look at Ego mowers, both times with my husband. On the first occasion we were just scoping out availability and didn’t need any help, and none was offered. We decided to purchase some spanners but after waiting at the counter and being ignored by 2 staff members we put them back and left. One staff member was on the phone and the other was not doing anything really that I could see. Either way it doesn’t take much to say ‘I’ll be with you in a sec’ or at least make eye contact and we were there a number of minutes.
The second occasions I had rung prior to find out if the mower I wanted was in stock. The lady on the phone was very helpful. I, again, went with my husband and we found someone to help us. It was a bit weird because the salesman put his back to me and spoke to my husband. It’s 2018, I am the one who mows! I found that odd? It was clear the salesman didn’t know the range well, which is fine I don’t expect every person to know every piece of equipment in a store that big, but he gave us misinformation. We were told that a mower that had more features than the one we were intending on buying was only $50 dearer (there was no price tags displayed), so we thought why not get that one? It wasn’t in stock so we left with nothing. But then when I checked the total tools prices online it’s actually $250 dearer.:/ Which, for us, made it too expensive.
I ended up buying a second hand mower as these guys are the only stockists of Ego in Cairns and I just didn’t want to go back again.
I’ve spoken to other shoppers and they love the place so maybe we were unlucky.
