Toowoomba Visitor Information Centre reviews
39Drove to Toowoomba for Flower Festival. First thing with did was to visit the visitors centre to get the latest information on the flower festival. We were informed on 9th September afternoon that there will be a market from 4-8pm in Queens Park and were supplied with maps and recommended places to visit. First the market was cancelled due to the rain in the morning which the visitors centre staff was not aware about! 9 Hotpots were marked as red flags on the map as must places to visit out of which 2 did not exist in the said location. Quite a disappointment!
A wonderful lady assisted me to find the very best options for our 2 hour visit to Tawoomba. She even recommended accommodation and scenic roads as well as the Rose Garden Display and the Pioneer Museum. She was extremely knowledgeable and delightfully helpful. A wonderful experience.
Beautiful place to stop and relax and stretch your legs or get information that you need or plan your trip around the place. There are experience staff who can help you find what you're looking for. Toilets available.
What beautiful ladies to speak to, and helpful, gave us so many brochures of places to visit with our grandson. So a hugh thankyou ladies
Very friendly people and of many talents. He knows who he is
Made cappuccino then on info desk
AMAZING WORK
One good thing with the Toowoomba information centre, it’s very handy day trips be surprised how much Toowoomba has got for Siri has got and they good ideas for camping caravan and the day trips is the ideal place to go to as good to buy something nice local support the local business
We visited Gold Coast without much planning. On our second day we visited Rosina
Toowoomba on a friend's recommendation to see flower festival flowers though it was to start 2 days later.
Weather was not very good with drizzle and had no ideas where to visit, so this was our first stop.
The lady who helped us provided a lot of information plus a summary of locations that we should attempt if we're in a sort of hurry, with a map.
She was well conversant with the area and what she was doing, except with less friendly and welcoming tone, helped us very well.
The premises was very clean and attractive. Highly recommended to visit first.
Great place to go for info on what to do, where to go or simply shop some local artisan creations. The ladies there are so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Must visit!
Good place to go, even for a local resident! Went there to buy some things to take on holiday, as gifts.
Lovely coffee and treat. Despite being busy and short staffed, the service was fabulous. Really nice space to stop for a while.
We just love how helpful and knowledgeable the staff in all the information centers are.
We generally share trip information with the staff as very they are often planning their own trips or have been to places that we have visited and compaired notes
I personally haven't been here when the centre is open but the grounds are kept very tidy. And they have a rain water tank. Which is very helpful.
Thanks for the excellent customer service. Appreciated the time and effort into helping us plan a route to our destination on the north side of Brisbane that avoided road closures due to flooding. Checking we were alright with toll roads was a nice bonus.
On our way to Gatton we had to visit the dunny. Wow. For free open to the public toilets these were so clean it was like we were in a 5 star hotel. Thoroughly recommend getting caught short near here.
If you need a place to stop when you are towing your caravan through Toowoomba this is it. A good spot for the kids to get out and stretch their legs before you jump back on the road. Well maintained information centre.
Nice staff. Particularly the ladies behind the counter.
Gave us some great tips to enjoy the area.
Very helpful.
Very helpful and very patient with everyone. Extremely busy both staff and volunteers were incredible.
We were at the information centre today and did not like the comments made by one volunteer staff member after I told her we were from NSW and we have been in Qld for 7 months. Her comment was sarcastically said "Oh they did let you in". We are one country trying hard to get through this pandemic and these comments are not warranted. The service we received while in the information centre was poorly rated as my husband stood at the counter to make a purchase and after 5 minutes without receiving any attention or acknowledgement we left the centre.
Regards
Coral and Ian Firman
Volunteers very helpful in assisting me & my friend with all our enquiries. Very nice shop full of lovely gilts.
We were driving around looking for a supermarket. We called into the information centre and the man i spoke to was very helpful. Gave me a map and showed me where the supermarket was. They are covid aware and I wore a mask while in the centre.
