Toowoomba Food Assist

I don't go regularly, usually during school holidays, when grandchildren come to stay, Food Assist is a great help in feeding them. Such a wonderful organisation. Thank you to all who work there.

Why don't more people take advantage of this humble service?
It is an amazing outreach for all people to purchase hampers of food goods. They've recently moved and now have a small store. Yes there are limits on what you can buy, but you can really pick up some terrific stuff. At times there are free items as well.watermelons, pumpkins, bakery goods, frozen good, juices.all sorts! It's well and truly worth getting in there at least once a week!

The best hampers we have found! Great food and very cheap! Thanks to the volunteers for your amazing work, you always have a smile in your face which is so much appreciated

The staff there are beyond amazing. I went for my first time today and I was extremely nervous but they were all so friendly and explained how everything worked, they even made my little girl smile. I was told I needed 5 things to use their service. A smile, my ID, a smile, to sign in and a smile. I interacted with 5 different staff and I was blown away with the support. The hamper I received was also amazing with heaps of helpful things. If I could give more stars I would.

It's no secret these times we are living are tuff I had to use these guys an let me tell you they help me and my kids get through can't speak more highly so so greatful that when I was down they was there in a heart beat no Hassel no dramas

FoodAssit is a fantastic service located in Toowoomba. The hampers are superb and for $20.00 you can’t go wrong. Fresh fruit and vegetables along with non perishable and perishable items the quality is top notch.
The workers/volunteers are so friendly and welcoming. Thank-you for offering such a wonderful service to the public. I will continue to tell my family and friends all about this non for profit organization.

Most caring bunch of people. Was able t o stock up my cupboard for an unfortunate turn of events which left my friends sons homeless and on my door step. Thankyou heaps your assistance was very appreciated.

Value for money $20 for standard box, Super box is $30. You get what they pack for you. Plenty of food for the price. Some items are close to use by others hace quite a time before use by. Remember, the quality of the goods are not always perfect but 99.9%is usable.

This feeds me for 3 weeks just $20 and I've lost 15 kg because the food is healthy heaps of variety never the same week to week and I get my food handed to me in a box no shopping

Helpful staff is polite and explained everything for a struggling family these supports available here are fantastic

I have been using this facility for eight years and it’s been consistent at one thing. Giving me the runs. Now they’ve gone from $10-$13-$15 to $20 in the height of the greatest recession/depression in living memory. I can understand why seeing the owners $200k Range Rover with the plates “FoodAssist. ” The food gets donated and the workers are volunteers, so who gets all that money?

Because it didn't say they shut @ 12pm on there website because of that my mom & kids & animals now have to go hungry for the week.

Bought the $15 hamper and the $6 drink box and there was ALOT of food! Yes a few items out of date and some expire on the day but to get you through struggling times, it's a blessing

An excellent organisation supporting those in need of a food hamper. It’s non judgemental service and no concession card required, just ID. If you need a helping hand with filling some empty tummies- this is the place to go!
