Throw Your Leg Over reviews
21I recently purchased "South East Qld & Northern NSW". An excellent resource book, as I plan my motorcycle road trips. Bridget & Alan promptly emailed to me relevant GPX files to assist in my planning. Highly recommend their books, & following their Facebook page.
Very speedy delivery!
I have looked at routes in the Qld/NSW book - very useful. There are a number of trips in the book that can be linked to roads you may already ride - so this makes a new day ride. I suggest you take the offer of the GPS files - makes the link to your existing route easy.
Beautifully compiled rides with reference points and accurate descriptions
A pleasure to turn the pages of this book and pick a ride the day before or wake up and open the book on a page and ride!
Handy tips for what to pack and what you need on the road!
Perfect companion for your next adventure!
Highly recommended!
Great books, well written and plenty of info for your trip.
Perfect size for fitting into a small bag or decent pocket so always handy when you need it.
What a wonderful time you would have had researching and riding these routes. Great book love the pics. Thank you for making your experiences public. ️
Great book with some of the nicest drives (yep. I'm a motorist, Lotus driver) thanks for such a comprehensive guide
A great read. Looking forward to start ticking off some of these routes.
If your ever on the Central Coast it would be a pleasure to show you around.
Thanks so much guys. Ordered one of your books and received it in a couple of days. Book is well set out and easy to follow, looking forward to using it on a few rides
I had been looking at their stories and videos. They are very informative and the videos encourage me to get out more and explore the nearby areas. I have recently purchased the South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales book. It includes maps, directions, places to stay and an index to find everything quickly. From an idea into a truly wonderful production.
Alan & Bridget have put an incredible amount of time & love into producing these high quality, easy to use, travel inspiring travel guides.
They are prompt with all enquiries and purchases are delivered with a lovely personal touch.
Started downloading your Europe book as we are planning a bike trip in Eastern Europe when covid restrictions lift and have picked up some awesome tips from your book. Thanks so much for putting in so much work to help others, awesome job to both Alan and Bridget for putting it together. If you looking at travelling to Europe on bike or car I really recommend this book.

Detailed and handy books - I have both the SE Queensland and Tasmania. The added GPX files are handy to plot your exact course.
Terrific people to deal with, Love the book, excellent size, well written and the layout is great, also love the Q codes for the routes, I’ve been to Tasmania twice, I’ll be using this book and maps as my guide in 2022.
Map scans directly on to your phone, love the few trips I’ve done so far looking forward to doing more!
Great Book!
Awesome details in my motorcycle book of tasmania. Maps and alternative routes make planning easy. Also the distances and riding times, road tips aswell make these books invaluable. I recommend them to anyone.
Great books. I've used them to plan rides in areas that I'm not familiar with. Great info with detailed guidance and trip notes which you know are coming from authors who have lived and breathed the area to put the routes together.
I've had the SEQLD NNSW book for a couple of years now, and have just bought the Tasmanian book to help plan a trip there in September and work out not only the great roads to ride but to also gather details about the areas I'm about to ride through.
I can't recommend them enough.
This is a really well set out little handbook for South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Lots of good information and easy access maps.
Throw Your Leg Over is an extraordinary company from a wonderful couple who think, talk, breathe and write bikes! Apart from the quality and focus of their journalism, they've been on the journeys that we've we all wished we could experience. The key difference is that they've shared the highs - and the lows - of the trips that we've always, secretly, had on our bucket lists!
In addition, they provided the navigational data that we can just plug into our GPS and GO!
Whether you're planning your post-Covid getaway or just daydreaming - you should support these guys!
Focus where you want it, concise instructions where you need it.and great value - always - here's an Aussie resource that we should celebrate!
Should be rated 20 out 10!
Check them out!
