The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill

Had a fairly ordinary experience here. The idea of scanning a QR code to access a site to order your meal is neat but the system needs work. The website was slow, and we're required to enter our table numbers ourselves which could easily be added into the functionality of the code. There is something a little more personal about having a waiter take your order however
In terms of actual service, food came reasonably quickly. The photo is of the Quattro, a summer special loaded Parma, the chips were okay, the salad was great, the chicken was a little dry.

Good enough but not an experience I'd go out of my way for

My friend and I went here for lunch (meatboard - beef ribs was bloody tough)   and drinks (charged us + 10% for each total bill due to public holiday and it was understandable on our end). Sean was proactive, happily served us with frosty glasses and courteously granted our requests (no ice for me and bit of ice for my friend) for our tap Canadian Club drinks. Next order of tap Canadian Club drinks was not nice - Chloe was rude and sarcastic, stating by their protocol they shouldn't be serving in frosty glasses and she can't do mine without ice and bit of ice for my friend. She was even arrogant that if I wanted without ice, she would only fill my glass like a quarter of the size of my glass and she actually did and filled my friend's glass three-quarters of ice. I paid and accepted Chloe's system  but I was appalled (first time to encounter like this). My friend and customers beside us were also concern why I was holding a glass filled only like a quarter amount and my friend asked why her drink was just full of ice (still shaking my head). Obviously, Sean's and Chloe's way of serving customers were absolutely different. Victoria (comme ci comme ca) the manager who attended this matter started elaborating their processes/system in place. Perhaps, try to acknowledge first the frustration/disappointment of your customers. Customers love to hear/feel a heart and not what system in place you got at the moment. Victoria gave us free 12 wings voucher for our next visit as a consolation for what happened but I don't know if I will come back again to this place. Anyhow, beef ribs was bloody tough.

We tried this place twice hoping the first experience was just a bad night, sadly it was their standard. Both times the steaks were overcooked, staff were rude and pushy. No one checked if we were ok or how the meals were going. Extremely overpriced for what you get and how you're treated. Would avoid this place at all costs.

Went to get a half price steak on a Tuesday as I have been for many years. Went to pay and the staff member didn’t tell me they changed it to only the rump steak as I was ordering a rib eye, which I think they should tell there customers when the deal has changed within 2 weeks. Food and drinks overall are nice just over priced for what it is. Definitely worth checking out on one of for there deals

Cocktails are a bit expensive for what you get. But otherwise a fun joint!

If you're hankering for a bar with an atmosphere just loud enough that you can't hear how many times you ordered wings and a schooner, but just organised enough that there's always a footy player looking at you as you spill hot sauce down your front then this is the place for you

Irza and kai were the best attendances ever, they fully were the best people ever, can't wait to be back here again with the boys, they deserve a raise! From ryley at table 1, these boys went above and beyond

The new guy Oliver did not hesitate to jump on the till to serve me even though it was his first day and first time on the till, coming from a hospo management background he did very well!

The staff were great, the food was very tasty but for a couple of "Oldies", the TV was just too loud.

Good setup and concept however drastically understaffed, had empty plated and glasses on our table for over half an hour. Sadly overshadowed the positives

First visit in a while and was still impressed. Food is a bit expensive but the quality is there so it evens out. Does from the table via an app or at the bar ordering. Photo is the half rack pork ribs with steak style chips.

We visited on Anzac public holiday for lunch so this may explain the slow service with the establishment probably wanting to minimise staff costs, but when we arrived at 1230 there was 1 behind the bar and 1 on the floor.

Food wasn't quick but not overly slow, kids meals came out 10 mins before ours, then when all finished we asked regarding the kids sundaes, the waiter returned to say the chef was too busy serving "other food" and we would have to wait "a while".

I paid an extra $2 to have an egg in my burger and it got missed, couldn't be bother waiting to see the over worked staff to sort that out.

Food wasn't bad, what we would expect for the price. The set up is great, so I can only imagine this would be great with a few more staff on.

Ordering on the app doesn't add to the experience, having to stare into a phone for the first 10 mins not really the best family dining experience.

The staff that were on were great, the waiter ended up going into the kitchen to make the sundaes himself after we were waiting for 20mins.

I am fairly balanced with my reviews and stay on the positive for the most part, but this was just a bad experience. From the looks of other reviews we just got a bad day.

Great atmosphere if you love your sports with multiple tvs and even a tab to put bets on.
Make sure you get the app to get bonus points and earn some free beers!

Always great food, friendly staff, clean fantastic atmosphere whether you're into sports or not. Highly recommended

Service and atmosphere was great, my food was amazing and well priced. We did have a problem with the sliders as the bins were rock hard however the staff we understanding and friendly and the manager gave us a refund for those as my friend couldn't eat them. The restaurant is nice and tidy and well spaced out. Will be coming back soon

Food came out extremely quick - within minutes. Probably faster than needed, would have preferred to have one beer before hand but no big deal.
Had the chicken parma. The chicken breast was very very dry. I didn't know it was even possible to have deep fried schnitzel so dry. Only option was to have normal gravy which wasnt enough (or even tasty enough) for how dry the schnitzel was.
3 stars for service and it was a nice place.

Always love this place, staff are always super friendly and the food is always top quality. On a night where there are lots of sports on this is absolutely the best place to go watch them all at once with mates.
