This is without doubt a ‘go to’ venue in Cairns, it is just an awesome takeaway for very special lunch omg.
To give an idea of its popularity everyone who visits says why don’t you open one of your roti shacks where I live… including me Your biggest regret will be not visiting I promise

【vegan&vegetarian friendly】

I used it on a weekday night. I was able to receive my order smoothly without any waiting time.

A food called roti, which is a crepe-like dough wrapped with curry or other ingredients.

You can choose what to put inside and the spiciness. This time I chose the vegan roti wrap (medium) and it was spicy and delicious!

There are 4 seats inside the restaurant and about 20 seats on the terrace.

This place is putting other small business in Cairns to shame. It is actually Open, whenever you are hungry! The food is super yummy, fresh and good value, also great option for vegans and vegetarians. It is quickly becoming my favorite and regular place to pop in:) Thank you for being amazing

Amazing food, fresh and great tasting! Staff are super friendly and work hard to get quality food out in very little time. You can even call ahead if you are in a rush.

The high star ratings for this place are justified. We had a chicken and a beef wrap with rice and potatoes. So filling and tasty, will be back here on our next visit.

The tortilla was amazingly good. It was soft, not too thick, chewy perfect. The fillings however fell a little short on my expectations, I had the wild prawn and it didn't really give a kick. Little cozy shop with quick service and kind staff. Recommended if you want something quick.

The food here is super amazing, so good in fact that I went there yesterday and today too.

So everything starts on a roti wrap which is then filled with your choices of fillings then rolled up and served, we tried the chicken curry wrap and a prawn curry wrap.

How it works is you choose your main curry base from chicken, beef, prawn or veggie & then your choose 3 fillings from rice, potatoes, stir fried veggie, dhal and chickpea curry then you choose how hot you want your wrap (the sauce which is homemade from scotch bonnet chillies and its not just hot but full of flavour).

The base curries are not like the indian curries that most people know, the curries here are just as tasty but milder in spices. They taste absolutely amazing.

If you want to eat something on the go, this is the place. The wraps are full of flavour and vary tasty. 100% going to come back.

A solid place to get a healthy homemade roti. It's simple, tasty, affordable, and good for you. Nuff said.

This place is so delicious! Everything was cooked to perfection with quality ingredients and love the way they use free range chicken and local beef! There is something for everyone here with vegetarian, vegan and seafood options! Loved it so much! New favourite place:)

This place is awesome. Curry in flatbread, your style of heat, generous portion and good price.

Absolutely amazing simple food really well done. My beef warp had a little too much sauce was tasty but a bit messy. Hubbys chicken wrap was perfect

This place is a must try when in Cairns. We ended up coming here 3 days in a row and trying every flavour! They make the rotis freshly in house as well as the chilli sauce. All the flavours were great but my favourite was probably the chicken. I would definitely come again next time I come to Cairns!

This unassuming establishment was one of the top places to try for me - a unique offering that I haven’t come across before in Australia.

After having an underwhelming light brunch, I was eager to turn that around. Christina (owner) was extremely helpful with my ultimate meat selection as I was taking this on my flight so ended up with the safest option - beef (I would have had one of each: beef, chicken and prawn) and was wrapped in foil to keep warm.

The looks that I got when I unwrapped this delicious bundle on the plane was priceless, which Christina warned me about. From the first bite to the last, the ingredients were evenly distributed and flavourful. The beef was tender and spices reminded me of rendang (all meat toppings I saw prepared were generously piled on top of the other ingredients).

The dahl and potatoes were well seasoned and balanced. A refreshing tropical mild/medium chilli compliments the spice combination. I understand why the menu states that roti is not sold separately - it is handmade and fragrance comes from being freshly cooked on the griddle.

The overall package reminds me of the perfect harmony of the Bee Gees, each plays their roles very well and together creates something special. Just ask my better half who usually isn’t interested in such cuisines but couldn’t stop taking bites from me!

From the friendly welcome as I stepped through the door, seeing them prepare the food from scratch in the open kitchen, connecting with regular locals or helping a newbie like me, to the last bite and craving for more, I can’t recommend this unassuming place more.

Absolutely FLAWLESS! I am so glad we discovered this spot before leaving Cairns. Being from the Caribbean and very passionate about the cuisine I was curious as to whether it would hit the spot. As soon as we walked in, the aroma hit us and I knew we were in for a treat! The homemade scotch bonnet hot sauce is off the chain too. 5 out of 5 all day everyday. Keep up the fantastic work guys, you've got it nailed!

First time Caribbean culinary experience. Had multiple orders, in all totalling 11 Rotis for 10 friends; 1 from NSW, 1 Victorian, 1 Tasmanian, 1 South Australian, 1 West Australian, 3 Queenslanders and 1 other Cairns local. Each Roti was met with a chorus of compliments and even the loudest wambles were satisfied due to the generous portions. Great helpful and friendly service deservedly 5 star. The freshly cooked Rotis and succulent ingredients with just the right amount of spice.

We saw Roti Shack as we were walking around Cairns. We then read an outstanding recommendation for the beef Roti.
We tried it out and had beef and chicken rotis, which were both tasty and filling. The recommendation was not wrong, I would surely recommend it.
