The Ross Island Hotel

Stopped for a quick beer after golf and found a beautiful little country pub in the heart of Townsville with bikini raffles happening on Friday night

I love the Ross Island Hotel, great pub meals, cold beer & great entertainment on the weekends with kareoke & live bands.

LOVE THIS OL PUB. IT HAS CHARACTER. AND FULL OF BEAUTIFUL CHARACTERS. GREAT FOOD GREAT STAFF GREAT ATMOSPHERE. A CLASSIC. LIKE ME

Giving the meal and service here 1 star is an insult to those places who actually earned their 1 star.

Needs updating, shame as lovely old pub needs saving and some love needed, patrons are old tradies, and old gals.exsperances friendly people.

Nice pub in with a pleasant atmosphere. The publican and his wife are very friendly people as are the bar staff.
Most Friday and Saturday nights you can belt out a few songs at Karaoke which is always a hit with the patrons.

I live in Kirwan and I am at this pub every Friday night for Karaoke Nights as there are some very amazing talented singers and it's great entertainment, the Karaoke hosts are always so professional. I call this pub my "local"! The Management (Deb & Peter) always make you feel at home and welcoming. The meal options they have are very conveniently priced and you definitely get quality for your buck! The Ross is host to a lot of great local bands usually on a Saturday night, always a great time! Definitely worth your while to check it out!

Sorry love the pub but last nights performance, acdc was dismal, couldnt undersrand half the frontman was singing. Left early. Also not cool having to stand in the rain because theres not enough tents.

It's like walking into a pub from the 80's. Which is a good thing. Back when you could just walk into a pub alone and grab a drink and talk to strangers without feeling like a dork. Don't let the outside look scare you away

Although the aircon wasn't working, it was a really fun night. The karaoke performances were entertaining and quite professional

So glad we found this old school pub when we moved up here, fabulous staff, good food and helpful management. Very welcoming and great bands on a Saturday night. Can’t wait to visit more now we live closer.

Sensational meals, people and the owners can not do enough to accommodate you with anything you need. Get down to the Ross and have their delicious 10 Tenners. 10 meals listed on a menu and all 10 are only 10 dollars. All are delicious.

Great place for a beer. Very traditional feeling pub. The owners take time to learn the names of regular patrons and offer great service.

Great pub. Tucker is well above its price. Band out the back on satdy nights. Owners are down to earth people.

Place is old and outdated staff arnt very friendly just a down an out crappy place only plus is the band's on occasion

Looks seedy but fine. Loud and raging music nights that are fun if that's for you!
Some decent bar food specials.
Definitely not fancy though but pleasant staff.
