The Evandale Practice - Dr. T D Lotz

Dr Lotz is one of the most caring, kind people I've ever met. He helped me so much with my trauma and was so empathetic - I would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr Lotz! Forever grateful

I can echo many if the sentiments already expressed in the high rating reviews that have preceded mine.
Dr Lotz is compassionate, knowledgeable, and a person I immediately felt comfortable with.
From my very first visit I felt safe to open up about my history, much of which has been a train wreak due to a lifetime of ADHD going untreated.
For me talking about my past is an embarrassing task but not with Dr Lotz.
My 5 stars are for him.
I’ve changed to a different mental healthcare practice now for a few reasons.
1- distance an hour and a half drive away. Then some Adult ADHD specialists moved to my town and I got onto their books.
2- I wasn’t able to access Dr lots very easily for prescription renewal/review. I believe the weak link to be the reception staff and lack of systems to help.
At the new practice I attend I get reminders of appointments and they keep track of my prescription timeline and pre book me in for necessary appointments.

For me ADHD affects my perception of time a lot and a good reception staff that understand a patient’s obstacles can make a world of difference.

Dr Lotz put me on the right path and I am truly grateful.

Had been seeing Dr Lotz for many years, very sad that he has become not very professional at all. Basically told me to go and kill myself. Every consultation I've had with him he has been eating! Always booked out 6 months in advance. If you need help, you won't get it from this doctor. He basically puts you on multiple medications to make you feel like a zombie and not work or continue your daily activities. Not professional. Go somewhere else and get help. He only cares about making money. Learn some compassion Dr Lotz.

Fantastic receptionists, amazing doctor who listens, understands and puts your wellbeing first. Would definitely reccomend!

2 secretes are unprofessional

Already send authorise peppers to collect my medical history but not included any details of this clinic no number or fax or email, my previous Doctor called me and said how can I send your medical history to them?

Dr Lotz was compassionate, patient and understanding. He had a lovely aura around him. I didn’t feel uneasy in any way. It just felt warm and inviting.
The clinic was so beautiful. Covered in plants, cane, bamboo, and tiki masks.
I felt comfortable in the waiting room instead of my usual pre-appointment nervousness because the atmosphere was so calming and therapeutic.
Couldn’t recommend him more. I’ve never had an experience like this while seeing a psychiatrist. Usually it’s quite cold and clinical, in the past with other psychiatrists, I have felt uncomfortable opening up. That is not the case with Dr Lotz. His calming demeanour immediately puts you at ease. It is so important to find a psychiatrist that is genuine and Isn’t judgemental. Dr Lotz is an asset to the practice.

Excellent professional treatment from all this Medical establishment as a whole. Reception and Office Staff also are very helpful and understanding with appointments and changes. This is a down to earth establishment operating consistently in my experience with a high level of standards. I've been seeing Dr Lotz close to or over 10 years. Very valuable to me and always Super helpful as much as possible and would be near Impossible to replace the level of care I have had from this practice. It is Probably hard to get an appointment if you are a new client. It is a fact that when you find a sound Doctor like this they are always booked out. Can't say enough positive things about Dr Trevor Lotz and the Staff.

Dr Katz saw me for ptsd and anxiety due to domestic violence where I was nearly killed. He advised me he had no interest in Domestic Violence victims and was at first refusing to assist with documents required for Domestic Assist as it is not what he was interested in. He spoke to me aggressively and I told him he was treating me and talking to me in the same manner as my abuser did who is now in jail finally yet Dr Katz was not interested. In the PTSD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE A VICTIM OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AS HE HAS NO INTEREST AND MADE ME FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. ASK YOUR GP FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE WHO ACTUALLY CARES.

Previously, I've had an extremely bad experience with a Psychiatrist who treated me roughly and as inferior; without any compassion, care or warmth. He left me in tears feeling trapped, distressed, marginalised and extremely alone.

I was expecting to be treated in a similar fashion by Dr Lotz recently. I have only seen him once, but in that time he seemed interested in me and treated me with respect, dignity and care. I found him to be very patient and thoughtful throughout the time spent. His room was very peaceful, comfortable and inviting.

I would recommend Dr Lotz to anyone seeking a positive and better experience.
