The Conroy Dance Centre

Absolutely LOVE Conroy! From the second we walked in, we felt like part of the family. The teachers are skilled, professional and just amazing all round… the love that they have for dance totally penetrates every aspect of the studio. Thank you for being so amazing!

We have been with Conroy Dance Centre for 7 years. My sons starting in 2015 at age 3 and then my daughter started in 2016 and my kids love it!

Conroys is a professional dance centre with just the right balance of fun and learning. They provide training for all levels and ages across all dance genres. Boys are also well catered for with lots of boys in classes and male teachers and assistant teachers who are great role models.

The Conroys team care not only able the kids dance development but for who they are as a person also. They value family life balance helped by planning and communicating all important dates early.

My kids have made life long friendships and some pretty amazing memories.

As a parent, it's amazing to have someone else care and love your child as much as you do and that's what Shelle and the Conroy team do! They nurture and care for your child and assist in shaping their future. Conroy Dance Centre have different dance packages so you can either do a lot or do a little depending on your financial situation. Matilda has been with Conroy's since the age of 2 and we love it!

My daughter started dance lessons at CDC in the beginning of 2019. If your child loves to perform, Conroys is the place to be. Their talent and passion will be nurtured, and they have so many opportunities to develop their skills. My daughter's dancing and confidence has improved so much, best move we ever made.

Our grandchildren attended this centre and were treated appallingly by other students and staff despite exceptionally expensive fees - which we paid for our children to enable our grandchildren to attend. Nastiness among the "chosen few" is tolerated widely and the entire program is skewed to suit a handful of "favourites"/ winning group eisteddfod titles. If you're the child of a former student or a soloist whose parents pour thousands of dollars into pursuing solo competition titles you will be given preferential treatment. If you're the majority of students in the class you'll be treated like second-class citizens/held back by teachers being unwilling to be inclusive or professional about their conduct. Costumes are upwards of $180 per piece for even the tinies and exam fee mark-ups make simple annual exam costs easily reach into the thousands before you start. I have never seen a dance school operate with such patent disregard for the wellbeing of the majority of its patrons. We are, thankfully, free of this harmful environment now.

This is my daughters 7th year at Conroy Dance Centre and she has loved it from her very first lesson. She has made beautiful friends and has wonderful memories to hold onto forever. Conroy Dance Centre will teach your child everything about dance plus lifelong qualities such as commitment, dedication, resilience, teamwork, time management and the list continues. My daughter has been a member of the Starz Production Team for 4 years and has enjoyed the endless performance opportunities she has been involved in, with going to the USA definitely a trip she will never forget.
I would recommend Conroy Dance Centre to anyone that is looking for not only just a dance school but a place where your child is nurtured and cared for as if they were their own.

My child has so much fun while they are building valuable skills and lifelong friendships. The staff are very friendly and the classes are very well organised. I couldn't recommend conroy enough.

My eldest has gone to Conroys for 7 years now, and my youngest for 4 years. Both love it. They learn so much - not just about dance, but about work ethic, teamwork, striving for goals, and supporting each other. Because of Conroys they think exams are fun. The kids have made great friends there, and so have I. It's a very supportive and professional environment. All dancing and costumes are age-appropriate too.

My children have grown with such confidence, made great friendships and learnt lifetime skills. I can't thank all the Conroy staff enough for their contribution to my children!

Very professional! My daughter loves going every week. The end of year concert was absolutely spectacular! The professionalism and talent is incredible. I was thoroughly entertained and cant wait for what next year will bring.

Best dance school in Brisbane? Lol! Don't send your kids here unless you want their self-confidence shattered. Owner and other mains seem to care only about school's reputation and money. Have actually heard owner make comments to young students about their skills being disappointing. Work them into the ground just to win competitions. Not a good place to really learn to dance and come out with confidence (unless you're one of the favoured ones). Sorry but that's the way it is.

Today we joined the mummy and me class for the very first time. We were personally welcomed to the centre by Jan and thoroughly enjoyed the class. We've got our uniform sorted and looking forward to starting next term.

My daughter has been part of Conroy's since 2012 and with the love and support of these amazing teacher she has continued to grow and develop as a dancer. She has become a very confident dancer. The family feel and support is amazing. The teachers and staff are dedicated to ensuring every child here meets their full potential as a dancer. She loves the amazing teachers and we appreciate the hard work and dedication shown by the all the teachers and staff.

Never been there but family and friends recommend it. They say it gives confidence and the staff are so nice and caring
