The Coffee Club Café - Capalaba Park reviews
48I got a Cappuccino that was more froth than coffee. It was Boxing Day (so I paid a surcharge,) but the young girl would rather be anywhere else but work. Not sure if she had had a bad day, but perhaps try another industry
Nice enough place only had a milkshake it Waa well be low par
why drizzle the flavour around the glass why not use that to give more flavor
Sadly, my eggs Benedict was not the best. Bacon was pre-cooked, and the eggs were overcooked. The yolks were not soft. I did not complain on the day due to not having time to take food back.
Great Coffee.
Loved skip the que & order, pay via scanning bar code.
Quick service staff friendly.
Morning tea at your Capalaba Park store this morning was a disgrace. Coffee was served lukewarm, scone at least a day old, and the waitress needs to be trained NOT to reach across in front of customers, bad manners and dangerous. Even when I said no, no, she continued to reach across. The noise from the kitchen was unacceptable, dropping items, clattering items. I didn’t make a complaint at the time as I didn’t want to embarrass my friends.
Best burger hubby said he's ever had. Good serves of food. Couldn't get thru it all
After the cold market it was good to stop in for hot coffee and breakfast. Eggs beni didn't disappoint, cofee was delicious. Store clean, staff efficient and friendly. Store manager sure was busy pumping out the coffees. Thanks to all and happy Sunday.
Very good value. Staff were friendly. Good service and discount for seniors. Recent visit the fruit toast was burnt and hard.
Visited on 2/1/23 a public holiday. Kitchen was closed early but manager hadn’t told staff. Ready made sandwiches couldn’t be even toasted. Counter staff were lovely. Witnessed manager abrasively correcting a customer over a smoothie’s ingredients & later fencing another waiting customer with tables & signage when they were closing up. Maybe some retraining needed there.
The food was fantastic and they were very friendly and helpful. The table setup was so small though.
Some open air seating as well as indoors in the aircon. Nice coffee, if not fantastic, it's always consistent. The decor in this one still has a bit of colour and a sedate mood, unlike some of the other redecorated ones. They listen to comments. I experienced it first hand, so that's nice.
Met a friend at Coffee club today. I ordered the flat grill which was advertised as $5.95 with a coffee. I was then told it was the takeaway price and I had to pay $7.95. My friend ordered her banana bread. We received our coffees and my friend received hers. After a while I asked where mine was. The server had to be reminded of what I ordered. It soon came out of the front cabinet just like the banana bread. It was then served to me in a takeaway plate and paper bag. Why did I pay extra if I was going to get it as a takeaway? Everyone else in the restaurant was eating off crockery except me. When I questioned it, the server said this is how it comes…so why charge extra to dine in? Very poor service. The place was not busy and girls were standing around while I waited for my order which was clearly forgotten. Very unimpressed!
Had the lunch special with mum a few weeks ago, which included 2 coffees. Great pricing, great food - service not so much by the girl making the coffee. Coffee's were delivered barely tepid. Had them remade (couldn't microwave health & safety reasons) only to be given a burnt mouth due to overheating! Approached the counter to question why ridiculously hot, only to have the girl argue with me saying we were lying about having luke warm coffee so she took it upon herself to make the second ones extra hot! I worked in hospitality for years & while you often have difficult customers- you never never ever argue with a customer (unless reasonably called for!) & under no circumstances do you do it in front of a shop full of customers because as an employee you're a representative of that company.
My daughter has superficial burns in her throat and mouth after taking a sip of a baby chino from this store. The baby chino was scalding hot!
Staff was really rude and impatient.im a waitress and barista myself so i know what it feels like to be at the end of your shift and be tired, but it doesnt take a lot of extra energy to be nice.i ordered the chicken ceasar salad without bacon (dont eat red meat bc of religion) and the girl just completely ignoredme and gave my a salad with bacon even though i made it very clear i couldnt have it.my mum got an iced latte and it was superrrrrr bitter, the coffee was clearly burnt and was an old shot.
Today is my third visit to the coffee shop, twice coffee to take away, once for breakfast, none of the experience makes me happy, the staff here is very lazy, I have to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes every time I buy coffee, in fact, the store Not busy. This morning I noticed four female staff chatting and drinking coffee while waiting for the machine to finish making the coffee, and they didn't seem to care about the time of the guests. 5 minutes after I placed the order and paid, the waitress who placed my order came over and asked me what coffee I bought again, I told her again, and then she went to the cashier again to operate for a while, and then again In the past five minutes another waitress came over and asked what coffee I ordered, told her again, she walked over to the coffee machine, and it took me a while to give me my coffee. I know it's a chain store, but the food and service at the coffee club in Cabalaba park is the worst, except for the coffee, I'll never visit again.
The staff were helpful and pleasant, the coffee was fine, but the muffins were terrible. Doughy and horribly chewy and cloying. Not just one as I had the feta and spinach and my wife had the apple and blueberry. Very little feta in mine and where were the blueberries? On the way out we saw another half eaten muffin left by another customer. Avoid the muffins!
Cute little coffee store in Capalaba Park near the entrance. Always helps me navigate my way out of the shopping centre when i leave.
Turned up at 1: 35pm on Sunday and was told that they were only serving coffees and no food. When I asked why, as there were customers eating, I was told the following.
"There hadn't been enough prep done, so they weren't able to serve food and still be able to close on time"
Of all the possible reasons with 90 minutes of service left that one left me a little speechless. They could have easily reduced the menu or come up with a better excuse than what I heard
We will never return.
Nice breakfast.
Ordered a pot of tea. Tea was ok, but the ceramic tea pot looked like it needed a good clean or just replacing.
