The Blue Parrot Café

I try to support small business on the islands but blue parot will never receive a order again from us, they leave 2 staff members who clearly know nothing about communication to the customers that alone how to cook a decent meal after making us wait over 20 minutes for hot chips, I haven’t seen one customer walk in since we ordered yet it’s taken close to 30 minutes for $4 chips what a joke honestly, half the time you go there they tell you sorry we don’t cook after 11 um what your the only restaurant on the island and this is what your okay with your reputation sitting at honestly it’s appaling

Comfortable, relaxing, good service great coffee cakes sandwiches burgers, whealchair friendly parking close, also whealchair friendly very clean.

Had breakfast yesterday and staff were o so friendly.
Had eggs Benedict with salmon and spinach, was absolutely delicious.

Best eggs Benny and steak sandwich is pure bliss. Fantastic menu and quality ingredients. They have something for everyone

Had 2 birthday celebrations there this Thursday lunch. The food was great probably filled up on garlic bread because it was so delicious. Air conditioning was very nice. Owners where super helpful when a misunderstanding happened

Place has a very old world charm. Rustic but comfy and welcoming and pleasant view onto water and bushland from the back room

Just dropped in for coffee, should have stayed for lunch. Some of the meals the waitress brought out to other guests looks mouth watering. Will return.

Beautiful venue, great coffee, friendly locals and manager. Very unassuming place yet great view out to the bay from the deck. Loved every minute of my visit and will definitely be back again.

Excellent place for a quiet coffee, with a lovely chilled atmosphere. Locals are friendly, polite and helpful. I definitely recommend stopping in for coffee.

Was on a holiday on mccleay island and came to this beautiful cafe was lovely the first time then on a crisp monday lunch I had a terrible experience with a front of house employee he spoke rudely of the food we ordered and was generally downright rude, ruined me andy family's day. There is a clear sign that states takeaways do not need to show proof of vaxx and I witnessed a man try to order from the takeaway window and he had to show proof of vaccination. He also tried to make my underage brother show vax proof, not happy with this person but the other staff was beautiful at there job. This is not a reflection of there cafe but a particular man who gave us a bad experience.

Had breakfast here this morning. Very impressed with the whole experience. A young man wearing a neat shirt and tie served me at the counter. A tie. Macleay Island? Then I thought how good is that? A great first impression. The other staff I met also were friendly. A lady who may or may not have been the owner/manager was so genuinely friendly that I had to notice. Tha basic bacon eggs tomato and toast was ready well presented. Attention to detail may be their forte.

We ordered 5 burgers and a kids meal over the phone. The lady taking our order was polite and super friendly. She kindly mentioned we could get our order delivered to our air BnB house for only $7.00. The Burgers and seasoned chips were delicious. Highly recommend the burgers and also milkshakes.

It was a lovely experience at the cafe as the menu had lots of choices but the best part the cafe had Keto meals

Omg! Really enjoyed a lemon meringue tart and cappuccino today at Blue Parrot Cafe. I highly recommend trying one. Or three lol.

A beautiful place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Great service. Great food.
