The Avenue - Surfers Paradise

Food is good here. Had the lamb pasta for lunch. Nicely cooked and only $15 on special. They also have many specials like daily specials, lunch specials, and happy hours. Came back for dinner and had the share plate. Nice portions.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Chloe Cocktail jug was tasty and good value. Meals were also very good.
Just been back tonight and still very happy with service, flavour and value. Only suggestion would be up provide table water and glass instead of plastic glasses for guests sitting down to eat.

Hands down best place I've been since arriving here. Lively atmosphere. Our server was friendly, informative and very helpful. The $15 lunches were large and filling. Loved the carbonara! Hubby has the barramundi and really enjoyed it. The pitcher of Lemon lime and bitters was very refreshing. Would love to come back here.

Staff were great. Slight issue with meal but it was rectified immediately.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this spot. It’s right in surfers paradise so we though it would be another tourist money grab, but the food was good and reasonably priced - we order the lunch special. The service was the best part though, we haven’t had great service in Australia so far but the guys were great! Not too pushy or completely forgetful, asked us how we’re doing and brought everything on time.

It was a bit cold inside though, but the music and the feel of the place were nice too, definitely better than expected.

Awesome place. The Avenue. Visited here 2nd and 3rd June. We always choose to sit outside at the bench. It's great for people watching. Live music between 4pm and 8pm from 8pm love DJ with music for everyone. All walks of life to enjoy The Avenue. I have to give credit on entertainment and live music. No one was sitting down. The DJ had everyone on the dance floor because it was music that you COULD DANCE to! Nailed it and always do The Avenue. Bigger bounus being between 4pm and 6pm super crisp Great Northen beer $5 each. I'm not sure about other beers, but shots are $6 as well in those 2 hrs. WOOHOO! Shout out to the awesome security guard Yassine. Yasmine, every time we visited Yassine has always had a smile on his face. Nothing ever seemed too much for him regardless of how he was being treated by patrons - RESPECT bar staff are great, friendly, and helpful. I always? Love coming here, enjoying our Avenue experience every time. Great for families, couples, throuples, singles and whoever or how many of you there is.

The food was the only good part of our lunch and it wasnt even that good! The service was absolutely horrendous, in particular an incredibly uptight and disrespectful waitress with short purple curly hair. Another disappointing part of our lunch was the stinginess and cheapness of the restaurant and its staff, they refused to give us plain vread without charging us the full price of the sandwich. I explained that i needed it because the food was too chilli, they still refused. This was really weird and ive never seen anythibg like it. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody and I will never be coming back here again. Absolutely terrible.

We came for the drag show and just had the best time! The food was great and we laughed so hard at the drag queens.

Monday lunch we went and Monday lunch we will go again. $15 The Lot pizza was full of flavour. $15 Nachos hit the spot. Fast and great service. Atmosphere was gud 2. It's a thumbs up.

Hi, we frequent your restaurant usually for lunch. Today I ordered nachos and I must say it was the worst nachos I have ever had. I should have asked for a plate of corn chips because that's what it was. A few beans, 3 tiny piles of avocado/guacamole if you can call it that. Some tinned tomatoes pieces, cheese on one corn chip and runny sour cream. My husband had Spaghetti cabonara which had minimal chicken but tasted ok. We always recommend your place to everyone but certainly not now based on what we had. No I didn't complain when the girl asked as I had only started eating, but after layer or layers of corn chips I was disappointed. You were one of our favourite restaurants but we had notice slight changes but understandable with the rising costs. But what we had today is not acceptable.
It will be awhile before we try your restaurant again. There's so many choices here. I am sorry but you have lost two patrons and our friends.

Really enjoyed my visit here on a Saturday afternoon in March 2023. Inside is a cool funky fitout, as well as a stage for live music when on. A good selection of beers on tap too. Sitting outside is ideal for watching the world go by, in one of the main Surfers Paradise streets. One of the best spots in Surfers for a few drinks or a bite.

Had a great night here with friends. The DJ chose some fantastic bangers to play, however it would be great if he played a song for more than 30 seconds. So impatient and frustrating.

I have to give The Avenue 5 stars. The atmosphere was great, the food was great with so much choice, the cider was chilled, and the staff were extremely attentive and great. There was a three piece cover band playing on the night and the music was varied and seemed to please everyone. It certainly pleased me.

My family and I came here while on holiday and absolutely loved it! Portions were good, staff were friendly, and the restaurant was nice and more quiet than the noisy restaurants just a street away. Would definitely recommend:)

Great venue, however unfortunately the food was really bad.
Ribs were cooked perfectly, and then they were burned and all you could taste was coal.
Us and tables near us all left half the plate still full. Very disappointing for such a "highly rated" restaurant

Nice food and staff. Interesting and exciting vibe with events like kareoke and live music on. Meal deals like $15 pizza on a Monday make dining quite reasonable. Food came quickly, great location.
