Ted’s Cameras Pacific fair

I purchased a new camera and lens through Jason, he spent 25 minutes on the phone to me and was incredibly helpful, and had a wide range of knowledge he used to help me make the right decision on my purchase. Amazing customer service, I’m glad I spent the extra money to purchase my camera through a store front and not an online retailer who had it advertised for cheaper, as the customer support and information I was given was well worth it! Thank you so much Jason.

I am so happy and grateful about the assistance I have received in the pacific fair store. Needed help with printing and cropping old photographs and nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou especially to Shaun (superstar) who worked on the photos patiently and the other guys in the shop (sorry don't know their names) who were so kind.
Without help from these guys I wouldn't be able to complete my beautiful hobby that means so much to me

Phil is a life saver. All of the staff are friendly and they were able to help me get a present for my friend in just in time. Definitely the best camera store I have ever been to. Will always go here for my camera needs.

Phil was great and really accommodating and showed me all his photos from his Fuji. It's great when you are served by someone that is passionate about your gear as much as you are!

I've been to this store numerous times and every staff member I've dealt with is friendly, polite and helpful, but hats off to Phil - the epitome of old school service. He took the time to understand what I wanted, and then put together a package that ticked every requirement.
Several weeks later I'm enjoying my new camera, and have finally been able to get the definition I was after in my pics.
Highly recommend this store.

Phil in store really helped me out today, gave me some really good advice and was so lovely!

Ordered a used D90 body on 10 Jan, arrived on 16 Jan. The parcel included a manual, additional handling book, battery charger and battery (which was dead though, but then I just ordered the camera body).
The D90 body was in splendid condition, I actually found out that my previous D90 body had a slight AF misalignment.couldn't get any better really.
As I am very familiar with the D90 I have no serious need for the books, though it shows the excellent mind set of the staff at Ted's Cameras. Highly recommended.

A huge shout out to Phil at Pac Fair! His genuine passion for photography is matched only by his calm and patient, 'old school' customer service. All too rare, and much appreciated! I have dealt with Phil in store twice and spoken to Tom by phone in the lead up to purchasing my R6 camera and 24-70 lens today (and trading in my trusty 90D and lenses), the knowledge and help they offered will make me a long time and loyal customer (it shld be said I live an hour and a half away and will gladly travel back there). See you soon for the 85mm and the 35mm! A big YES from me

I had a very very bad experience at ted‘s camera today. I had my money ready to buy a Fujifilm XT5, but walked in and the two sitting staff didn't want to talk to me. I indicated that I wanted to buy the Fuji XT5 but they gave me the impression that they didn't want to sell it to me. I don't know why.

The blonde worker is knowledgeable and nice from my previous experience. However, this brunette male worker with glasses was very unhelpful. He assured me I can update my sigma lens using SD card on my SONY camera. He was so certain of it and even said he will search it up to double check. After clacking on his keyboard he told me "yea they say on their website you can". I can not find this website he supposedly looked at. From my further research, Sony cameras can't update lens firmware through the SD card and must be done through a cable. Now I've just wasted my time driving there to talk to an "expert". What a joke. How can you hire people that only know about some cameras and not all? That's like going to a phone shop and the consultant only knows about apple phones?

Camera house was much more knowledgeable and frankly, nicer. Ted's camera prices are alright but in comparison to CAMERA HOUSE, their knowledge seems to be lacking, from my experience anyways.

Excellent service from a really knowledgeable team. Phil is my go to man for advice and good discussion on all things photographic, in particular his knowledge of the Fujifilm system which is my platform. Glad to have found you guys.

So commonly don't write reviews but was very impressed with my experience with Phil at the pacific fair store. I'm fairly new to photography and Phil took the time to help me learn where and what to be looking for, he was considerable about budget and never pushed for big fancy cameras and took into account my skill level and what would or wouldn't be suitable off of that. This was all done even though I said at the start I wouldn't be buying anything for a few weeks. Fast forward to me actually purchasing the camera. In our earlier discussion I told him my interested in doing macro photography, however not for a bit due to how much the lens cost. Phil remembered this and was able to find me a second hand lens in very good condition and transferred to the store for me to try when picking up my camera (which I ended up buying whoops) but also never pushed me into buying anything.

So in short Phil took the time to teach me about using a digital camera and what to look for, was considerate about my spendings and budget, was able to understand what I was after (macro lens is fantastic don't regret getting it) and never pushed to sell me big fancy items just showed me what he believed I would need and gave me the option.

Overall it's been a great pleasure to spend the time with Phil and I'd be happy to come back for my future needs and upgrades.
