TAFE Queensland, Loganlea campus reviews
15The warmth and friendliness of the managers, teachers, and relevant staff at all levels is very encouraging to me as a migrant student. Thank you so much, TAFE Loganle.
The childcare course online is not efficient. There are a lot of assessments. The staff told me that I must study 280 hours at the placement. However, it has been changed later on. Now they told me that I must study 336 hours. How can I deal with 56 hours per semester at my placement for just the first semester. I mean that I will need to work as a volunteer 2 days per week or more. This really put me in delema.
I was enroled here at the hight of the Covid19 pandemic in 2020 and had to transition from on campus to full-time online learning. Whilst there were various challenges at the time not just for students but for teaching staff as well, I look back at that time with positive accomplishment (yep, I graduated) so I give Tafe Loganlea campus 5 stars for rising to the ocassion & supporting students during that uniqely challenging period.
Had to wait almost 2hrs to talk to someone at customer service desk. What a joke seriously how hard is it to put more workers at reception.
I studied here back in 2011 and it was an awful experience. They didn’t help me or support me at all despite having special needs and had a crisis happen in my life. The other students I dealt with were immature school leavers who didn’t make things easy for and the staff were awful and all they did was crushed my dreams. Avoid at all costs as these guys only care about money and nothing else
I have been trying to get through on the phone for the past 4 days now calling on and off all day. Always says the phones are busy when they clearly aren’t.
Honestly I would not recommend tafe to ANYONE. Just the lack of support, the lack of communication and the absolute lack of some sort of organisation; I could write an actual essay on it. Their motto of “achieve greatness” is absolute garbage. Anyone who wishes to save their money and mental health please take my advice and seek an alternative RTO. Especially if you’re doing nursing, just go to the Mater.
TafeQLD doesnt respond to emails, incredibly difficult to get a hold of on the phone, never call you back when they say they will.
I urge people to think twice before applying or enrolling at this campus, as you will fail this course because all they are doing is milking money from the government and job trainer. They are taking advantage of the fact that covid is still causing problems around the country and world. Teachers leave all of a sudden, when you complain to management they ignore you. They are supposed to be teaching you, but you're practically teaching yourself because there's nobody around to help.
Terrible education structure. Teachers leave all of a sudden, which puts students at a educational disadvantage. They don't abide by their own ethics. The education ministry needs to audit them.
Terrible customer service by phone, staff have awful work ethics and are generally rude each time.
I like the library and parking place,
Here for me is a good place for study, and meet great teacher, if you enjoy study on a country style place, don't like city so busy campus.then here will be a good place for your.
Grossly inefficient institution. Their courses are swamped with irrelevant filler units to pad their already weak curriculum.
I’ve had some good experiences here but overall they have trouble keeping staff and don’t offer a very good learning experience. The complaints procedure is a bit of a joke. Turning up to classes with no teacher, extra assessments added on at the last minute. Disappointing. Semester 2 started and we have lost our teacher, now we are 4 weeks behind. What’s going on Tafe that you can’t retain your teaching staff!?
They keep cancelling courses due to lack of participation, over and over, maybe they should sink some time and effort into filling places in classes once any enrolments have been filled!
