Sydney tools carry heap of range, and price is sometimes cheaper than others, but I don't feel comfortable being pushed to purchase by their staff. Also, they do not know enough to what customers need, only pushes you to spend money. Most customers choose tools to know what exactly what they want. It is a professional tool shop for trade, not like bunnings for gernal customers.

Rudest bunch of staff I have ever come across, instant unnecessary passive aggressive attitudes from every worker we passed, will not be going back and a large company should do better to vet their staff. Disgusting attitudes

Trialing new tools for my site, as well as rekitting our workshop power tools, both making my site more efficient and with less downtime in a high output steel manufacturing site. Highly recommend these guys.

Came in to purchase a holesaw set from Sydney Tools Archerfield on Friday 12/3/21. Found a Sparrow SC11S Bi-metal Carpenter's hole saw set labelled with a price of $62.50. Took it to the counter and it scanned as $79. I told the employee it was labelled as $62.50, and he said I would get it for that price if it was correct.

I then showed him the label and he denied it was the same set, even though it clearly showed the same product (Sparrow SC11S Bi-metal Carpenter's hole saw set) and was directly underneath where I got the set from. I went back to the counter and he said i'll give it to you for $70, but then changed his mind and said "actually I can't give you a discount because the system won't let me". I couldn't be bothered arguing about it so I just paid. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have.

While paying I asked him if "bi-metal holesaw" meant they had cobalt in them. He said no and went on to spin an irrelevant yarn about cobalt drill bits in jargon possibly only a seasoned builder would understand (but I doubt they would have either). I just looked at him in disbelief, paid for the holesaw set and left as quickly as possible. When I opened the holesaws back at home, the box had cobalt clearly printed on the instructions inside the box. I haven't been back since.

There is to parts to this review and it needs to be read in that context.

5 STARS FOR CHRIS @ ARCHERFIELD

Firstly, I would like to thank Chris, the manager of Archerfield store, for the amazing service that he provided when I was seeking a spare part for my Bayer Hammer Drill. After being referred to the Archerfield store (from Underwood and the second part of this review will cover that) to source the part I required, and after a message from Head Office to Chris, he rang me and told me what was happening and when I would get my part. All it took from Chris was ONE phone call to me to sort out an issue that had been going on for several weeks, and for that I am extremely grateful. Thank you Chris for your awesome customer service!

0 STARS FOR SYDENY TOOLS HEAD OFFICE

My initial enquiry started at Sydney Tools Underwood. I have dealt with them before and the Manager and Teo are excellent to deal with. However as a retired Trainer and Assessor/Business Owner I am amazed with Sydney Tools HO, as they spend copious amounts of money on advertising to get us in the door ONLY TO BE LET DOWN BY THE POOR AND INADEQUATE SERVICE SKILLS AND TRAINING OF THE JUNIOR STAFF. The internal communication from junior staff is poor to non-existent, there seems to be little to no internal training about internal procedures and methodology. If Sydney Tools wants to keep and grow their customer base then they need to implement an internal training system that gives the junior staff the skills, knowledge and training to deal with customers in an effective and positive manner to promote and obtain repeat business. If they have a Training system in place, IT'S NOT WORKING!

Everytime we visit Sydney Tools Archerfield I am always so digsuted at the absolute lack of customer service and knowledge the staff have here. Regardless of who you deal with (other than a manager we dealt with one time who was great) they just have zero interest in helping anyone and act with contempt towards customers. If you hate your job that much, apply elsewhere and stop treating customers like a burden. You're in retail my dudes! Ridiculous.

Really Really good service, we went in to look and see, wound up buying a set of machines and ordering other things.

5 star for service from their staff name Denan (hope it’s the right spelling). Upon entering few days ago, he greeted me and asked if he could be of assistance. We had brought in the laser receiver thinking it was faulty. Even though he was no expert he tried his best to figure out the issue and found the solution. Thank you for being helpful

Extremely disappointed, prices on stickers do not match registered prices. Terrible customer service, very uninformed staff. Extremely long wait time for orders. What people previously have written on this store is true, had I known that prior, I would not have shopped here.

Top blokes- if you need any advice or a deal on new equipment this is the place to go. Nick and the team are fantastic - great for any home owner to visit (not just for trade!)

I tried click and collect. However, it wasn't good. They prepared my order with missing item. And I had to wait like 2 weeks to get my order by just click and collect. And i wasn't use their click and collect feature.

The people who work here don't want to honour warranties. It doesn't affect them in any way. They just send it back to the supplier.
What do the staff gain from screwing over customers. Maybe the suppliers like Makita give the staff kickbacks to try not to honour warranties.
Every time I return a power tool it is a 6-12 month wait. Pretty ridiculous when you need the tools to run a business.

Just another tool shop that sells everything at retail prices, most tools just in boxes.just another sausage factory.nothing terrible and nothing great. Be lucky to get anything a dollar off retail. Had far greater help and feedback from other tool shops.

Have to stand on staff members foot to get anywhere near 'service'. Their attitude is clearly retail only with no interest whatsoever in service. Been in twice and will never return, what a waste of space.

They not even deserve 0ne star. ZERO star here as they don't know how to treat customers amd there behaviour is absolutely racism.remember you work there to look after customers and that's what you get paid as working there.

Sydney tools archerfield customer service is pathetic. Over 4 months to fix a dewalt nail gun and the only correspondence was via myself. Kept getting told I'll call you back and nothing but crickets! Finally asked for a refund and magically the gun was fixed. Yet after getting the gun home noticed missing screws. Was told I'll need to bring the gun back to store, rather than we'll come out to you. You'd think after over 4 months you'd be able to put the gun back together without missing parts! Not only did the store manager brush off my concerns, but also the reginal manager ignored my emails. If only I was a weekend warrior, however I rely on these tools for my business and lively hood. To say I'm disappointed with Sydney tools is an understatement and I will never purchase from them or recommend them to any one ever again.

Very poor and rude customer service, specially the manager (David). I bought a Makita Kit last year, even didn’t use a single time the hammer drill was broken and I got swapped but still not working properly, returned it back again they said we can’t do anything with this, it’s like this from the manufacture.
After couple of months drill stopped working! Returned it back and after 3 months repaired and got back but after few months broken again, now I have to wait another 3 months to get repaired while I’m busy too much.
Will never ever buy anything from SydneyTools and Makita brand
