The range of Auto accessories is second to none. A well laid out store, attentive polite staff and lots of off street parking.

Lovely place, shelved a whole brake pad and the manager was nice enough to not dig it out of my guts.

Now this is the type of company who drain the life out of their staff for everything they are worth. You should be embarrassed you let go of that employee, at least everyone knows now that you could steal something and no one will stop you. And posting a review saying the employee “left” is even more embarrassing for you. So, round of applause to Supercheap Auto Molendinar for being the worst company ever. Good luck finding people who will want to work for you.

They allow shop lifting and will fire their own staff if they try stop you, just byo baby pram to hide stuff in

A company spokesman from Supercheap Auto has confirmed that the employee who confronted an alleged shoplifter has left the business.

The motor goods giant confirmed that the man has chosen to leave the business after a “comprehensive review” of the incident.

This follows the viral video uploaded to TikTok that showed the employee's attempt to prevent an alleged shoplifter from leaving the store with items hidden in her pram.

“I can confirm that the team member involved in the incident has decided to leave the business, ” a company spokesman revealed.

The communication also reiterated that workers are instructed not to confront shoplifters or make physical contact with customers. “We have extensive video surveillance in our stores and suspected cases of shoplifting are referred to the police with footage of the alleged offenders, ” this continues.

“The health, safety and wellbeing of our team members and customers is our highest priority and we are committed to maintaining a safe working and shopping environment. ”

Previously it had been reported that Supercheap Auto’s parent company, Super Retail Group, had stood the employee down but placed the employee on full pay while they were investigating the incident.

The act earned the man widespread support, with some dubbing him as a local hero. Others were so impressed that the man became inundated with job offers once announcing he was stood down.

2GB radio host Ben Fordham also barracked for the man and said there was “no way in the world” he should have been stood down.

Won’t ever shop at any supercheap stores ever! The only business your inviting into your stores are thieves! Biggest problem with the world today, is nobody does anything when theft happens and it’s only gotten worse! You had a loyal employee who in my eyes did the right thing! And look how you have treated him! You don’t deserve good business.

As a retail worker, I find the treatment of your team member as disgusting. How about spending money on security instead of workers felling like they need to stop thieves!

Went to buy some wipers and other car supplies. The staff are lovely and very patient and knowledgeable.

This store (SouthportvNerang Road Store) supports and protects CRIMINALS AND THIEVES! They fired an honest employee who confronted a THIEF! Even after he returned the property of his boss! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE! They openly love THIEVES AND CRIMINALS! Not once did they THANK, REWARD OR PROTECTS the honest, hardworking employee. I urge all Gold Coasters to boycott this store and help to close it down!
