Sunshine Mitre 10 - Kunda Park

Wish I came here for the first time I instantly wished I had always came here instead of Bunnings. Service, not packed and you can get quality help. Mark was amazing in helping us choose a wide variety of things such was the depth of his knowledge. Just a lovely helpful guy. Go here, big fan!

Just purchased two very straight sleepers and got enthusiastic help to put them on the car. And my staffy got patted as well as he stuck his head out the car window.

Big shout out to Nathan for his exceptional customer service and going the “extra mile” this morning.
Went in seeking some advice to fix a caravan door handle and Nathan provided a fantastic solution and even assisted in drilling the holes to fit the rivets in.

Mitre 10 Kunder Park is a great Hardware store with a great range of everything for the D. I. Y group or the trades people. I found what I wanted with the help of the knowledgeable staff.

Thank you to the staff of Mitre 10 Kunda Park. Each time I have been to this store the staff have been very helpful. I have purchased heavy items and before I can turn around the staff are their to help load the trolly and then take it to my car and load the car for me. Excellent Service

Rang the store to enquire about TuffBlock, explained that they were for a low set deck, spoke to two people, one of them a lady who apparently is the trade manager! To be just told, sorry mate never heard of them despite the fact they are advertised as available at Mitre10, was told we can PROBABLY order in for you but did not know the price! Bunnings sell them for $16.90 each and I need at least 120, no one offered to find out or take my number to ring me back, oh well I tried to support local but they don’t want to help, looks like I’ll have to go to Bunnings.

We purchased a high-value set of doorknobs and handle systems to replace all the ones in the unit. I understand this store provides large scale orders and our $300 dollar order is still small in comparison.

The frustration for me is its one of the few times I was able to encourage my mother to purchase the best quality and highest priced items.

The website advised that it would be fulfilled by this store.
Estimated 4 business day delivery.
So we booked a handyman to come on business day 5.

After 5 business days went past we contacted them on Saturday to follow up to be advised that 'no one here would know about it so you'll have to call back Monday'

Rang on Monday afternoon to inquire why it hadn't been delivered.

No apology merely 'not sure why that got missed but we'll get it out to you tomorrow afternoon once the morning runs are done' - Travis

After requesting it be sent on the morning runs we then rang back early to ensure this would happen. Again - no staff at that time seemed to be aware of it or willing to make a strong plan or commitment rather treating the inquiry and follow up like an inconvenience.

Follow-up phone call merely post-phoned action until 9 when Travis would arrive so the managers could talk and figure out what to do.

Follow-up call at 9 was advised it was being loaded up. And we appreciated that it was delivered by 12.30 not late afternoon.

However - having to follow up - the lack of ownership of the mistake - and the experience feeling like we were a hassle - when we were merely trying to get the product fulfilled and an order completed after 7 business days has left us very disappointed.

The compulsion to buy local has been snuffed out.
We could order online from Amazon and have the products arrive within 3-4 business days.

Plus side - the products are great quality so thank you for that.
But the general feeling is that if it was a house-fit out or large scale order it would've been handled differently.
Hope things have been better for other clients purchasing smaller orders.

For reference - we live in Maroochydore. So it's also a short delivery distance in addition to all the other service failings in interactions.

OK SHOP, BUT NO SPIDER KILLER, I GOT 2 CANS OF THAT ABOUT A YEAR OR SO AGO, BUT NONE THIS TIME, SO I GOT SOMETHING SIMALAR AT BUNNINGS,

I am extremely disappointed for the customer service and lack of help that I had in this store, I bought a screws one month ago online and after that no body can provide me a location where the screws are, I have spoken three different time with employees without any useful information or attitude to resolve my problem.

Great timber yard, easy access, friendly staff very helpful during Covid/boom times sourcing timber that can be scarce.

Friendly staff with a massive range of products. Full drive through timber yard which is way to navigate. They provide the ability to cut timber to rough lengths or to fit in your car too. Prices are reasonable in comparison to other stores too.

Helpful staff and a local business worth supporting. Good range of hardware and reasonable pricing.

Absolute rubbish service. Was put on hold and forgotten about. When finally answered, got told the product I was after was in stock, asked to double check, supposedly checked. Drive down to find didn’t have in stock. Absolute joke for service, don’t recommend wasting your time.

Went in just to buy some garden hoses and other bits and pieces, good choice of products, but no prices to be seen. Then items incorrectly labeled. Staff on store seemed disinterested in helping.
