Placed my order online over the weekend and received both a text and email to advise my order was ready mid week. Picked up at Ormeau outlet. Smooth operation, well organised and very helpful staff.

Always something missing when ordering. When ordering the materials the Lady on the phone advised pool fencing flanges come with the panels with after a rude conversation on the phone with Stratco find out that don’t. Also sold me $90 of hinges I didn’t need as I purchased a premium pool lock kit that had two hinges in the pack but was told they didn’t come with them. When I called and asked about it all was met with a rude lady on the phone who wasn’t willing to help. Will never deal with this company again and would advise others not to unless you have time to run back and forth to get the missing parts. Absolutely disgusting service twice now should have learnt the first time

Every single time I order something from them there is an issue. It either takes 45 minutes and 4 staff to find it, or its not ready - can I come back tomorrow, then its not right, they'll redo it over night, come back the day after that, or it's ready but the system hasn't updated and can I call back next week. Like most people I have a job and no- I don't have time to randomly pop by on another day that suits them. This was ordered in November, was meant to be ready 1 week ago, I gave it extra time with the holidays etc, and it's still not right. I'd go somewhere else, but there isn't really an alternative. So unfortunately stuck with them, and back for more being messed around by them next week.

So I needed some Colorbond Trunking (down pipe) for our Daikin Air Con outside unit. Range Stratco and spoke to this awesome guy (sorry have forgotten his name I think it was Matt). He spoke to me on the phone, I sent him a hand drawing of what I needed in Woodland Grey and he came back to me same day with a price and pick up location (Stratco Carrara). These guys are huge, and really busy. But he still took the time to get me what I wanted and needed for a gear price and he still made the whole thing feel like I was talking to a person. Most of these big companies don’t care. But Stratco are awesome. Even when I picked it up the bloke on the counter was very busy on a Saturday morning. But still very polite and professional. Thanks Stratco for helping get my job done.

Difficult to deal with the woman on the phone, they won't come to the site to measure or advise of options for a custom carport and no installation.

The whole online purchasing worked well for me. The products I ordered were perfect for the job. The only hiccup was not being notifyed when the products would be ready for collection. I choose to log back in and had a "live chat" with someone who found out for me the products were in fact ready and I should have recieved a text. The text never came and still hasn't, maybe something you could look into for future online orders? Other than that, very happy.

The girl on the counter didn't even put her phone down when I went in to discuss a 15,000 dollar shed. I picked up a brochure and left.

No click and collect in qld. Was going to order a storage cabinet but the delivery charge was $100. A joke considering i live in Ormeau which is where they are also located. Found the same but less expensive cabinet elsewhere.

Great service from first contact to last. Not the first dealing with Stratco Ormeau Qld, definitely not the last.

Purchased a work bench requiring assembly from Stratco via Kogan. Delivered on time but faulty product. I dealt with Stratco directly and they immediately arranged a new one. Twice unlucky because the replacement was faulty too. Stratco arranged another replacement, and had the work bench assembled upon delivery. Very prompt service and good people to talk to. I believe these are the benefits of purchasing from a local business. I'd provide a 5 star rating, but reserve that for when their quality control improves on the work bench.

Just walked into the office asking for a price about a 6×7 shed to hold cars.
The receptionist seemed like she couldn't be bothered to get any details and just said $8,000 delivered only.
She did not want to discuss features.
And gave the impression i was wasting her time.
I won't waste my time returning if that's the service I'll get.
Unfortunately can't give 0 stars.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
We went with Stratco when we decided to replace old fence with a colorbond fence.

Stratco sent us an installer however, we found out that they do not ensure that their installers are qualified or even know how to build a fence. The person that they sent to us had never built a fence before. He made the fence 3 metres high and put the posts 30-40cm into the ground with only two bags of rapid set cement in each post hole. This caused the fence to move back and forth in the wind or if we touched it gently. That was only one of the many issues.

When we brought the issues to Stratco's attention before, during and after the build was complete, they have been evasive, lied outright on several occasions and have been very difficult to communicate with.

We do NOT recommend Stratco. There are other places that sell similar products. And we highly recommend vetting your installer/tradie before giving a deposit because Stratco does not take any responsibility in the installer that they send to your house. You have no control over anything, including the products that you paid for because Stratco will not deal directly with you, only with your installer.

The photos below are of the end product that we were given by Stratco. There are so many issues with this fence. After three months, the fence is drooping and going to fall down soon.

Stratco said that they were going to pay fix our fence because of the terrible installation, so they sent another installer to inspect the fence and provide a quote for the repair/replacement. He advised that it was the worst fence he had ever seen and gave Stratco a very reasonable quote. For the next several weeks after that, Stratco avoided giving us a decision regarding the quote and two days before Christmas and two months after the fence was originally installed, they sent us an email, telling us that they weren't going to be pay for it anymore.

Don't believe anything that Stratco says.

We are now in the process of taking this to the Fair Trading Commission due to Stratco's bad business practices.

Very disappointed with Stratco, who recommended an UNLICENSED ROOFING CONTRACTOR who has done a poor job with many defects. Stratco have offered to send the roofer back to complete the work but he is not licensed to do the work so the QBCC have advised he should not be engaged to do the work as he is not appropriately licensed to do it.
Stratco have made a "NEGLIGENT" recommendation and now thinks its OK to suggest sending the same person back who is not licensed to do the work; they are clearly not prepared to take the responsibility for their actions.
SHAME ON STRATCO...

Very small shop and I didn't find everything I wanted but made some purchases and the lady was really nice and helpful. Prices are very good, but not much choice. Easy to find the place, but too far to drive and not much to choose from. So I have to go to Bannings if I will be in need of something. It's sad because I found some really well priced items but lady staff told me that it's not available in Queensland. As you can see in the pictures almost everything out of stock.

Recently I had a very bad experience with a Stratco shed and with the Stratco product department.

The shed roof got very rusted after only 7-8 months from the purchase and installation. I live more than 10km from the beach and the shed isn’t under any trees.

When I approached the store about this issue, they referred the case to the product department. I requested a replacement of only a couple of roof sheets.

Here is their response:

“The marks are rust spots from the swarf left on the roof when tek screwing the capping’s and sheets on. This is not covered by the warranty as this should have been cleaned off the roof during the installation process. ”

This statement confidently sounds like they were there with me during the installation watching every step and move I was making. Unfortunately they were not there at the time of the installation. I installed the shed myself with occasional help from my father. I am very tidy, clean to the point of perfectionism. I brushed or wiped every surface of the shed we put together even though the Stratco installation guide (which I still have in my desk) does not say to clean anything during or immediately after the installation. It only mentions a recommendation to periodically clean the shed as required.

The product department’s statement is a wild assumption to say the least, designed to fob me off and not to help. Well, I think they succeeded because I won’t be shopping at Stratco again, nor my family, friends, and many of the social media contacts.
Bunnings also sells sheds, prices are very competitive and their customer service is much better.

Quick easy pick up drive around the back of the warehouse looks tidy and well organised. Easy to load shed plenty of room to use forklift assistant.

Please try somewhere else to slack staff and no knowledge answers all sorts excuses but no answer on anything.

Bought these gates from Stratco Ormeau, installation was a very straight forward, and my client was very happy with the out come. Cheers Phillip from trade connect qld.

Poor service poor products and poor product knowledge going here was one of my biggest mistakes they spend more on advertising than service

Visited recently to purchase their "special buy". Their biggest competitor of course could sell it for much less. Not sure if I am going to visit again.
