Stone & Copper reviews
39Good venue and service, however one of the dishes made me sick and overall food was pretty bland and flavourless.
Great service and menu options. Our highlights were the sambal prawns and roti canai. A bit quiet on the day we went but can tell with the decor and food quality that there's thought out into the place.
Not great for us, Service was very good and nice decor, but the curries we had were watery and not rich, not great flavour and poor quality meat.
Best Indian in Brisbane. Next level good. Do yourself a favour and Tandoori Butter Chicken and Cottage Cheese Kofta!
Great place for casual malaysian & indian food. Super attentive staff, unique cocktails and food packed with flavour, all in a cool neon-lit bar vibe. The onion bhaji and nonya fish curry pairing is a must try!
We picked this restaurant from their online menu, but the actual menu was quite different.
Obviously it's good, we keep coming back! Service is very good, and the meals are very generous. The duck curry was saucy and scrumptious, the Thai Chili chicken was crispy and flavourful.
The only down side was the naan bread was disappointing this time. I loved it the last time we were there, but today it was not very good at all.
We have been here a number of times. The whole crispy fish is awesome, can also recommend the Thai chilli chicken with cashews and the Red curry duck.
Choosing the right spot for our mum's 60th birthday bash was a task, but this Asian-fusion gem outdid itself.
Right from the get-go, we were swept off our feet into a world of intoxicating Eastern flavours. It felt like a symphony of spices and textures, each dish playing a delightful note.
The small plates set the tone - especially the humble vegan spring roll and the exquisite nonya satay chicken. Each bite was a dance of flavours that thrilled our taste buds.
Then came the mains: the spicy sambal prawn and the rich red curry of duck, that set the stage on fire. But the standout for us was the Malaysian laksa and the earthy spinach dal tadka - a brilliant blend of flavours.
The bread from the tandoor and the fragrant coconut rice were perfect to mop up the luscious sauces, while the cooling raita added a refreshing touch.
The pad Thai noodles and the saffron-infused chicken biryani were the showstoppers, leaving us in awe of the chef's culinary artistry.
Choosing for 25 adults and 4 kids based off the "Feed Me Please" menu was the best decision - each course was a masterpiece that culminated in a refreshing lychee and capsicum salad.
And let's not forget the hospitable staff and the cosy ambience - it felt like we were right at home in an Asian kitchen. They were incredibly accommodating to our dietary needs, impressing us with their gluten-free and vegan options.
In short, if you're after a place that marries a symphony of flavours with the ballet of a well-orchestrated menu, this is your go-to spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's not just a meal - it's a culinary journey that left us yearning for more. Can't wait to come back!
We found the food wasn't authentic, very fusion. Not tasty nor aromatic. Good service and nice atmosphere.
We had a great experience! Despite coming on a Friday night and not having a booking, my 3 friends and I were immediately greeted, seated (we were given a choice of seats) and given table water immediately. The server was very attentive and came over immediately when we were ready to order (he had obviously been keeping an eye out which we appreciate).
Food came out so quickly, and was delicious. I cannot rave enough about the naan - the garlic and cheese naan was SO aromatic and fresh. The butter chicken was hearty and FULL of meat, red duck curry had juicy thick pieces of duck, the pad Thai was fresh and the migoreng had tons of flavour. My coconut chilli mojito was infused with a coconut flavour and was something interesting to try.
My only criticism would be the coconut rice could have been more moist / flavourful and the serving was a little small.
All in all, very happy and we will be back again.
Didn't get off to a great start when our booking couldn't be found. The entree and mains were actually very good, but don't come here for deserts or cocktails. The overall experience was a little disappointing, especially at these prices.
I recently visited “Stone $ Copper” restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and comfortable seating. The menu offered a wide variety of options…
The service was top-notch as well. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. She made great recommendations.
Overall, I highly recommend "Stone & Copper" to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming environment. I can't wait to visit again!
Excellent food and staff, nice atmosphere and low prices compared to the quality.
We went to try a few different plates, and everything left us fully satisfied. As mentioned before, the quality is high, and the prices are quite fair if not cheap.
We tried a starter mixed plate with
10 pieces (2 pieces of 5 different entrees)
1 Eggplant pachadi
1 Tandoori butter chicken
1 Whole crispy fish
1 cheese naan
2 rice.
The starters are perfect to begin the meal. You can try different flavours.
The eggplants were well made, not full of spices, and perfect for a vegetarian.
The whole crispy fish was fantastic, full of flavour, and with a delicious crispy skin and mild sauce. If you are in 2 or 3, you must try it. You won't regret it.
My favourite of all, the Tandoori butter chicken, the king of the night, literally perfect, 10/10.
Naan and rice were good as well.
The atmosphere was nice and music was not too loud.
It was one of the best fusion dinners I've ever had.
Full 5 stars.
Amazing food, best fish curry iv had since i worked in a great Indian restaurant 30 years ago, cheesy garlic naan to die for (truly) Super, super yum, wished i lived here
YUM! Never disappointing!
I live across the road and order from Stone & Copper regally.
The staff are very friendly and every time I do a pickup order I get a thank you card that gets me a free house wine or beer. Win! I get to have a free bev wile I wait for my order next time. I also get to use my payo app, love it as you get a good discount if you pay this way.
FYI, The thai chilli chicken and veg fried rice is to die for!
LOVE.
Food is delish music is nice. Nice ambiance! Special thanks to Hannah, you are a star. Hubbie and I enjoyed this meal so much because of your fabulous service.
Service is very lacking. The waiter was abrupt and the waitress vague. Staff should not serve tables with their Mobile phones and I.d sticking out of there back pocket’s or ask abruptly at first greeting ‘have you got a booking’? When we’ve clearly asked for a table of two in an empty venue The food is good. Good location
Dined here a few times now and always the quality of the food has been very good plus friendly service.
Like the way it's a combination of Indian and Thai food, so quite a few options to cover most tastes.
The shared tasting plate is a good option if you want to try a few different starters, we especially enjoy the Onion Bhaji's here.
For main, we find the Beef Rendang is very tasty, meat melts in your mouth and the sauce works well.
The bread is also very good here, especially the Garlic Naan.
Lovely place with great food. Was able to walk in on a Monday night for dinner and it wasn't too busy. I got the butter chicken with rice and cheese and garlic naan. The butter chicken was absolutely delicious, so creamy and the chicken was tender. The rice was fluffy and the naan was just the best to dip with the curry. I ordered the rice as the curry itself doesn't come with it. Service was attentive and interior design is beautiful, such a nice vibe. I'd love to come back and try their other dishes.
