$30 for a 10 minute haircut is a little bit over the top. Have been a customer for over 35 years. But now I think it’s time for a change.
Since moving back to the Gold Coast, I've been going to Steve for scissor cuts for over a decade. Always an excellent result.

I have very straight hair which is difficult to cut. At least this is what I have been led to believe as I have found it extremely difficult to find a Barber that could cut my hair so it sits just right with any kind of consistency. Plus, because I am now 67 and have come from that era back in the 60's and 70's where the trend was (apart from the long hair hippy/ surfie period where my hair was down to the top of my backside) short cropped top with longer sides and even longer back. Kind of like the old "Mullet" but not quite if you know what I mean. Anyway when an older guy like me goes into a Hairdresser or Barber I have experienced this resistance to listen to my description as to what I want and just go ahead with the typical cropped top. The very thing I didn't want.
Now here is the punch line (sorry about the long winded lead up but necessary I think) Steve understood my description as to the style I wanted in no time flat, (long top and sculptured in to fairly short around the sides and back but not that super short American Marine style currently popular today, which is too radical for this little black duck). Not only that he just jumped and in almost the same time it took me to describe it, "Vwallah" it was just done and dusted. Perfectly I might add. I have been back about four times and the quality never varies. I can recommend this old school Barber who really knows his stuff. Trust me! You can trust Steve. He's the best.
