I try and support local business. I was chasing a new home theater setup so rang Stereo Sales to speak to the local experts and discuss my room size, their recommendations and options. On the phone, i was told he didn't have any time to talk and i'd have to come in to store. I live out of town with kids, so sometimes that isn't simple.

Anyway, i said no problem and rang back again a week later. Basically, this conversation went the same way. I thought to myself fair enough i'll give them the chance, and organised a trip into town on a Friday at lunch time to have that discussion in store. When i arrived, i was immediately told that they had to close the store as they had some very important cinema installations to do that weekend and that i'd have to come back and he couldn't help me. Third time was a charm, i was done. I called digital cinema (melbourne based) and the owner afforded me 20 minutes of their time on the phone for a discussion, which was all i wanted. I immediately ordered all of my gear through them.

A couple of weeks later, i received all of my new gear and needed some speaker cable, i drove into Stereo Sales and the guy recognised me from coming into store a couple of weeks earlier. He had a chip at me for not supporting local business.sorry mate, i did try. You guys should try some basic customer service.

Great people to deal with, knowledgeable and very friendly. Mick and Sue run a great local Mackay business.
