Sono School Of Music

Sono Music has been an absolutely wonderful school of music for the last 3 years I've been attending voice lessons there. All the staff are so kind, friendly and personable which is why Sono has the most welcoming environment for learning music. My voice teacher Hayley has always been so lovely and adaptable to my ideas and goals - I'm so grateful that I chose Sono.

I have piano lessons with Beth at Springfield. I love that she is so patient with me and always so positive that I can learn this! I am a beginner but now after 10 lessons I am starting to feel more confident in both reading basic piano music and playing with both hands. Sono School of Music have great facilities and are very organised and professional. I would definitely recommend this music school to a friend!

I've been having lessons with Declan at Sono for two months now, and my singing progress is off the charts! Not only is Declan a very talented musician, but he's also extremely understanding and encouraging for my musical journey! He makes me feel more comfortable to relax and to not be too hard on myself, even if it takes a few lessons to perfect a certain technique. Sono itself is also very affordable and makes it easy if you need to reschedule a lesson. Highly recommend!

Sono music is an awesome place where artists can come together to learn, improve and cultivate there artistic passion in a safe, caring and challenging environment. My voice and passion for writing music has been relit. I couldnt be happier. Huge shoutout to Declan, by far the raddest dude!

I've been learning piano at Sono for about a year and a half as an adult student.
The school as a whole is an extremely welcoming space. Thanks to the all staff you instantly feel as though you have a place in their family.
I cannot commend my teacher, Rachel, enough for her patient, professional and friendly approach to teaching.
Lessons have always been catered based on both my own musical aspirations as well as sensible and considered guidance from Rachel. Sono have made learning music a delight.

When I took up lessons at Sono Music Springfield I didn't exactly know what to expect and admittedly, I was a little nervous. From day dot Declan my teacher/coach made the environment as most comfortable as he could and made me feel more confident with each lesson moving forward. Throughout the year in each lesson he has given me 110% with the interactive teaching and his professional approach has given me the best opportunity to learn as much as I can. I feel as though I have learnt so much from my short time being a client at Sono Music, but also have so much more to learn. Sono Music is a very kind, inviting, and professional organisation for which I would recommend to anyone.

My kid started his piano lessons with Sono School of Music and he thoroughly enjoys the experience. His teacher is very friendly and takes time in replying to all his queries. I would definitely recommend Sono School of Music to anyone who is interested in learning the piano. The school is located at the corner of the Station road and is easily accessible.

Fantastic school with qualified teachers across a broad range of instruments. Both of my children have developed considerably with tuition at Sono Indooroopilly. Katie (piano / vocals) and Ryan (guitar) have been brilliant. Highly recommended.

Rachel is a young and capable piano teacher. My daughter has had great improvements from Rachel's classes. Strongly recommend!

My 10-year-old son is taking drumming lessons at Sono. He likes it a lot, the teachers are great and he has a lot of fun.

My 7 yo son Tejas has been going to Sono for Piano lessons. Rachel the instructor is highly skilled and passionate about music. Tejas enjoys his lessons and has picked up well over the last 2 months.

Sono has got friendly, helpful and talented staff and they've been super helpful while rescheduling missed classes or accommodating changes in schedule. Highly recommended!

I am a working musician and guitar player in the Brisbane area with quite a bit of experience teaching and learning various instruments.

So when starting drum lessons i had a pretty good idea at what i wanted from them, and wanted to improve on.

I was after improvement, no matter the method. From day one, Jasper has tailored everything we work at to my goals, and every lesson im left with tired legs and mentally drained, which is exactly what i want, 30 minutes of hard work and improvement.

There is very little steering of the direction of the lessons from me, Jasper knows what i want and knows how to get me there. Hes a lovely hard working, focused dude, and knocks it out of the park every time.

Sono is very good. From the first contact with Katie to the lessons with Maddy they make sure you are comfortable. The lessons are great. I never had sung in my life and I can't believe how far I have come in just a few months.

Our daughter has been learning drums with Jasper for several years, in fact she followed him to Sono from his previous teaching location. He lets her choose music she likes and drumming styles that interest her. Our daughter experiences performance anxiety but Jasper is always patient and doesn’t push her too far out of her comfort zone. We would highly recommend Jasper and also the Sono school which is well organised and professional.

Rachel is a fantastic piano tutor. Our kids have thoroughly enjoyed learning from her. It’s great that she asks the children what music they like so that the lessons are interesting and encourages the kids to keep practising. Our kids highly recommend her and so do we!

Thought I'd give this place a go to further my drumming and couldn't be happier with my progress since. Liam at Sono is an excellent teacher who has provided me with in depth exercise's and material relevant to what I want from lessons. Always helpful and willing to answer questions. Light hearted and enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend

Sono Music and my respective Piano teacher, Rachel, have continuously demonstrated a friendly and effective learning environment since my first orientation lesson. Starting with zero knowledge and experience in playing the piano, I have found great benefit in Rachels teaching style. I would not hesitate in recommending Rachel and/or Sono Music to someone interested in learning a music related activity.

I have been taking drum lessons with Jasper for almost two years now and my weekly lessons are always something to look forward to. Jasper is an encouraging and effective teacher who has helped to advance my drumming skills and techniques in a way that has been highly enjoyable for me. My hand/feet coordination have improved vastly and Jasper has taught me these skills while keeping in mind my own taste of music. I have also had a number of lessons with Liam, another enthusiastic drum teacher at this school. The studio and equipment are also great for any student to learn with. I would recommend Sono School of Music to any drummer looking to sharpen their skills.
