Wow, this has to be best one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to… how do I describe it… it’s like a party in your mouth! If you’re in the area, make sure to try Sumalee Thai! The servers and owner there are so friendly and accomodating despite us coming in at 8pm! Thank you again for a memorable night

My friends and I are all very pleased with the amazing food and excellent service. It's by far one of the best Thai food I've ever had in Brisbane.

One of the great Thai foods I have had, very tasty, and served with great hospitality, will recommend it to my friends.

They always provide service with a smile and never forget cutlery. I'm quite picky about my curries and theirs are creamy and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend the green curry and pad kee mao, don't pass it up!

Staff are too busy to entertain dine in customers. Waited my order for 40 mins understanding they are busy. Asked the counter only to know that they forgot to enter it. ‍️not going there again‍️

This place is definitely one of those local Springwood/Underwood hidden gems that is modest. It only has space for 8-10 people for dine in so their assumed business model is for takeaways and food-deliveries. Their food though? It’s nothing short of spectacular! Authentic Thai, spicy, tasty and very rich in flavours - definitely heavy handed with spices and all things nice! A group of us ordered their paw paw salad, soft shelled crab with curry, Kai Lan with pork and sticky rice - all amazing in their own right! Highly recommended!

We got take away from Soi 9 Thai Express for the first time tonight. We will definitely be eating there again. What fantastic, fresh, delicious food we enjoyed. We will be recommending this great place to friends and family.

During the previous lockdown. We decided to try and stay home as best we could while supporting business. The plan was to have 3 different take out meals over the week. We ordered from Soi 9 Thai first. We ordered special fried rice, satay chicken skewers, curry puffs and spring rolls. All items were delicious but the stand out was the special fried rice. I keep thinking I have found the perfect special fried rice but this one has now taken the lead. I ordered it three times and it is consistently amazing. Will definitely be ordering again.

Terrible food and terrible service. Will not be returning. There are plenty of better Thai restaurants in the area.

ALWAYS love our food from Soi 9 Express! Really fresh produce and delicate, beautiful flavours make this a stand out for Thai food. Love the chicken chilli basil? I might have again for dinner tonight!

Good service. Soup delicious. Thai beef salad not as good as expected.
Will go again and just try other dishes. Delivery service is very reasonable. Friendly staff.

I've ordered takeaway before from Soi Thai - the food isn't anything special - it was OK, a high 3 at best.

Why the poor review then?

Today (10/5/20,8: 15pm), I went there to order takeaway, rang the bell and waited and waited. When the lady came out, she didn't bother to ask me if I wanted to order anything, just assumed I was there to pickup Uber Eats. I wasn't even there to order for myself, it was for my wife.

Very poor customer service. I understand they were busy but don't pretend like I don't exist.

I won't be going back there ever again.

Waiting 1+ hours for food and still don’t have it on an Uber eats deliver that was meant to be 25 mins. Uber driver left and messaged me saying food wasn’t ready yet and restaurant isn’t answering the phone. Ruined my Mother’s Day eat in dinner and my kids missed out as they were starving. COVID and all but seriously unacceptable.

I replied to owner response in another review. As it deserves a second 1 stat as when Food finally arrived it was terrible as they were clearly unable to provide decent food under the stress they were in yet I still had to pay high price

I had the pad thai with chicken and it was delicious! Takeaway was quick and it was only $10 because of the lunch special on Sunday! Will definitely be back!

First time I ordered (Saturday) via Uber the Chicken Green Curry and Pad Thai was excellent. Next day I ordered (Sunday) Massaman Beef curry. It was by far the worst Massaman I have ever had, so disappointing. Watery with no flavour. Different Chef? Now I can't trust ordering from them, such a shame.

GREAT Pad Thai! A Smokey unusual hint of flavour on top of the traditional flavours. I really enjoyed it.

We also got the yellow curry. *Bec warned.their spice is true to culture. If you want ‘medium’ ask for ‘mild’!

First time here but definitely not the last! Authentic Thai food with amazing flavours. The heat of the chilli isn’t watered down so you are getting the true taste!

Must try when in the area! ️

Have it at least once a month and never disappointed! Prob most authentic Thai around this area. (Been to Thailand over 10 time so I know what’s trash and what’s the goods)

Love the lunch special. Their pad see ew is fantastic and the Thai iced tea is really authentic. Highly recommend Soi 9 Thai.
The only thing to be mindful is that it is a very small shop. Take away is probably better than eating in.
