Excellent experience today at Chermside Skate Connection. The guy behind the counter was exceptionally courteous and helpful. Excellent knowledge and customer service. Very happy to return as a customer.

Isaac and the team know what their doing. Isaac gave me great information about the longboard and cruisers, he ended up convincing me to get a longboard as it would be more stable for me to balance on.great service, great help, great shop

Hardly a Skate shop for Sk8ers.
We won’t be back to chermside.
Trying to teach my son to support our local skate shop.
What he learnt today was even though the sign says 20% off decks.
There’s just legible writing underneath outlining exclusions. _a
And just because you find a deck in the sales been marked reduced.
Does it mean the boards are reduced or does it stop the sales person placing a board back in the sales bin

The boys at Skate Connection Chermside are amazing at what they do and know how to take care of their customers. They’ve already convinced me to buy 3 boards and get back into skating, love their work.

The team at skate connection Chermside know what they’re doing! One of their staff, Danny was especially helpful he was very attentive and informative.
I have recently had back surgery and it had been over 2 years since I hopped on the board, due to the impact it had on my legs and back. After going into chermside and having Danny help me find the best set up for me, I have been able to consistently skate. The softer wheels and bushings has made a huge difference in the pain I have after skating - something I wouldn’t have thought of

Both my boys are into scooters. I buy all their gear from Skateconnection. The staff really know their stuff and are always so friendly and helpful.

The team at chermside skate were great helping find a scooter for my son. We have since returned to buy other items and they have always been amazing at customer service and would like to commend Kassandra on her service and going above and beyond with helping me with my purchase.

Was not informed by staff the 2 times I went in about the NO REFUND policy. I purchased a skateboard and wanted to return it - unused, untouched but was told I couldn’t. Bad business and won’t ever purchase from them again for any of my children or family.

The time we purchased the product, the staff did not mention the no-refund of changing mind policy. They only offer store credit.

BUYER BEWARE - NO REFUND FOR CHANGE OF MIND. We had a really disappointing experience at Chermside Skate Connection this Christmas. A few days before Christmas we went to purchase a scooter for our son when we floated the idea of also getting one for his twin sister. The staff member let us know that our purchase came with no risk, as we could return the scooter as long as it was unopened/still in box.

When we went to return the scooter today (as it turns out it wasn't what our daughter wanted) we were told by the manager that they would only provide us with store credit. There is no way we would have purchased the scooter if we had known the only option was a store credit. The manager demanded to know exactly what his staff member had said. While I don't recall the exact words, at no time did he ever say 'store credit' or we wouldn't have purchased it - we were left confident, by the staff member's words that a full refund was available. Both my husband and I were present at the purchase, and both had had a discussion with the staff member.

Today, the Manager Isaac let us know that refunds for change of mind are definitely not their policy, and that the staff member who served us was 'no longer with them'. He then disappeared to make a phone call, and came out to let us know that he couldn't help us, and that his staff member was actually on holidays (hadn't left), and we would need to return to speak to him in mid-January. At first he wouldn't let us know when his staff member would return, but finally gave us a date of 'by 17th January'. So we are in a position of having to go back in to speak to a staff member (who I'm sure will say anything to ensure he doesn't get in trouble with his manager). Isaac was not interested at all in what transpired. He seemed quite angry and was focussed on turning us away - certainly not the reception you expect from a retail store.

We've since discovered that nearly every other skate store in Brisbane (For example Fast Times, Skate Happy, Parliament Skate) offer full refunds for change of mind. While we've previously purchased scooters from Skate Connection, we won't be back. It's too big a risk to take - particularly when we were clearly told a half truth just to get a sale.
