Went to the "Dark Side of the Moon" Pink Floyd show commemorating 50 years since the release of the album in 1973.

Brilliant graphics and animation with quality sound playing one of the best albums from Pink Floyd. Great value too at under $30. If I could I would give 10 stars.

The shows are great. We arrived an hour early thinking there maybe a lot to se and do before the show. There is a bit to look at but you can get around it all in about 20min.

We went as a family to Brisbane planetarium as my mum had an idea to go and see a show for the kids and this is even a great show for the adults in the family. A family friendly educational solar system program designed for kids to learn about our solar system and the planets as well.
Don't worry it has been updated we are down from 9 to 8 planets. Pluto is now classified as a dawrf planet.
I really loved the program the screen was on the ceiling and it felt like it was 3d and you felt like you are immersed into the solar system.
A must go kids will learn more than what school will teach them its educational and fun.
Hope to be back when the kids get a little order.

This is one of the three largest planetariums in Australia. The park is very rich in green plants.is a good choice.

It used to have fossils there and there is also very cool as it has serveal cool tours about space and you can use their giant telescope for a price tho and it has tons of cool things such as a copy of Armstrong's suit and tons of cool miniature statures of display

Small but nice. The dome is big enough to fill your field of view. Nice crisp images. Well done graphics. Entrance is free but shows are 10 - 15 dollars. Shows sell out regularly so book online at least a day in advance. The adjacent Botanical Gardens are amazing.

A relatively small planetarium but great for visiting and spending a quick hour when nearby. There were a few small models won display alongside plenty of information board about our solar system and beyond. Aboriginal interpretations also shared within which were great, and planetarium talks were scheduled on certain days. Parking is challenging during peak times, as it’s located right next to the botanical gardens.

Saw the 'Endless Universe'. Peter was lovely but was unprepared for his self-absorbed copresenter injecting her pseudospiritual views upon the audience (even taking it upon herself to speak on behalf of the universe itself throughout the show). The audacity. It was quite embarassing. Not to mention the weird song and grievances toward Elon Musk. Good lord.

This was my first time here, so quite disappointed to see a center of science education incorporating someone's personal spiritual woo woo into the mix. For shame. Stick to the science, it's fascinating and wonderous enough on its own.

Our family has been there twice for their amazing entertaining and informative shows. We also enjoyed the displays and Jesse the meteorite guru at the 'Ask an Astronomer' stand.great combination with a walk and picnic on the gorgeous botanical Gardens

Visited over the weekend with small children. Fantastic displays, albeit they were mostly replicas. Kids shows available in the morning, we attended one - certainly kept the kids entertained. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Free entry to come check out, a small shop and shows cost money to attend.

Less than 5 stars only because I’ve been to more interactive and more artefacts museums in other countries.

Located in vicinity of Mt Coot-ha Botanic Gardens so can visit both and get up to a full day trip!

What you get / Pricing:
+ FREE entry with good history of Brisbane’s astronomy including Sir Brisbane’s influence, balanced view of Russia & China & US contributions to space technology, overview of Big Bang to Milky Way to solar system to Earth’s atmosphere and life, some models and artefacts.
These are placed on outer circumference, can be completed in 1h or so.
+ Paid interactive shows are targeted at kids, probably advisable to purchase tickets in advance thou went I went in winter there were still tickets available at counter. Free seating.

Crowd:
- Tourists and locals, can get full pretty quick especially when crowds are queuing for entrance to the interactive show.
- Parking is often full especially on weekends, can try to park in vicinity and take a walk (some parts may be hilly).

Attended Saturday 06/08 for Cosmic Collisions show. Staff super helpful at the desk and ensuring those with special needs felt comfortable during the show. Jesse was outstanding - you could see the excitement and interest on the kids' faces as he described some of the displays in the foyer prior. During the show - Jesse also provided outstanding commentary on the night sky section, engaging people so much that he received a round of applause at the end! Best experience to date. Congrats to all the staff.and thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the planetarium. The Astronomy Live show was very informative and affordable. Entry is free to the exhibit and the shows cost $12 for adults and $8 for kids. There is a variety of shows that can be booked at the counter.

This was a great experience. My family enjoyed the worlds beyond this world. We where able to see different planets and their moons and see how life could inhabit that place. Would definitely recommend for family’s as it is a great experience for everyone to enjoy.
