Siam South Bank reviews
80Food was not really good compared to other thai restaurants. Our Fried rice and Pad see eu was so oily. Not much happening with their mocktail options either. Service was however great as they kept asking if everything was ok. Didn’t have much vibe except for restaurant being near the park - bit secluded.
We had the Beef salad and the Whiting salad, both were amazing. So fresh and the dressing was perfect. Don’t miss this Resteraunt.
A really broad range of menu items. Plentiful meal sizes. Fantastic venue next to beautiful water and lush plant area.
My wife and I had a terrible experience here. The food is flavourless and bland, and one of the most flavourless meals we have ever had. When we told the staff about our fire of the meal, they didn’t even care.
Excellent good! Every dish was good.
Service cheerful and friendly, and staff all smiling. Nice to see.
Wine list very average, though. I ended up having just water. Only discovered once there that one could BYO wine and pay a surcharge to do so.
Atmosphere ok but very bright lights don't make for a relaxing ambience. Will go back just for the food!
One of the nicest Thai restaurant I have been so far. Taste of the food and portions were perfect. A little touch on the ambiance can make this place way more attractive though.
As usual, I forgot to take photo because of the amazing smell and the look of our foods?
Got the beef pad see eaw and a Mai Tai. The food was delicious and plentiful with a cute view of the pond.
Just had NYE special as a takeaway while waiting for the fireworks.
Friendly service and food ready in 10 mins as promised, all delicious!
Nice thai restaurant in Southbank near the water, thats very pleasant
Quick service and good food
Lovely food and atmosphere - staff were friendly and engaging, always keen to help - oh, did I mention how wonderful the food was? Looking forward to going again!
The first Thailand cuisine I had in Brisbane, soooo yummy! Big portion and good price! Also very friendly staff!
Worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Very disappointed considering the high expectations given due to all the good reviews.
The spring rolls had no flavour. The Thai sour sausage was so bad it couldn’t be eaten, the massaman curry is not meant to have coconut milk yet that’s what it was in. Tom yum soup has two symbols of chilli and there was not even the slightest hint of spice.
All was a pretty bad experience…I’m glad I came here today to check out this “4.5 star restaurant”. Have cancelled my future booking and unsubscribed.
Thumbs down to this venue, sorry.
Great thai curries and generally good all round thai menu on par with anything I've had elsewhere.
We had ours takeaway but would like to sit in next time. Really good curries, Satay was tasty and something for everyone on the menu.
As regular Thailand visitors this place doesn't disappoint.
Quite average ambience but shouldn't be a issue if the food was as expected but it was not.
We had Tom kha which was totally on sweeter side.
We had Tom yum soup which was like clear soup with some slices of dry chicken.
Papaya salad was delicious but portion was not enough at all
Not a really great experience to be here.
All the reviews are based on my personal experience.
Amazing $11 lunch special, especially tasty food, nice service and a free drink with lunch! Definitely recommend
Absolutely divine. This restaurant exceeded my expectations with high quality and delicious food at an affordable price. A lovely little spot with lush green scenery. Great customer service too! Best Pad Thai I have ever had.
Regularly visit this lovely restaurant for lunch. Service is always really friendly and quick. The food is excellent quality and super tasty - very authentic Thai. Lovely ambience hidden away in the parklands. $15 lunch specials and the spring rolls great value.
The food is georgous the place is really clean and great service definitely 10/10 would eat there any time
Delicious food full of flavour and oh so fresh. Friendly staff once you catch their eye. Toasty under the heaters.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My family and I went to eat here last night. It was very quiet, not busy at all. The waiters took 20 minutes to take our order as we had to ask them to take our order as we were sick of waiting. The entrees come out 30 minutes later, the ‘chilli’ chicken wings and spring rolls were dry, burnt and had no flavour at all. Our food eventually come out 15 minutes later and it was the worst Thai food we have ever tasted. The fried rice was the worst fried rice we have ever eaten, the prices were ridiculous as the meals were disgusting. The only dish that was decent, was the Panang Curry and Garlic Rice. They also forgot one of our dishes which we told them not to worry about as we all felt sick from their food. My family and I are still feeling sick from the food we ate from this place. I highly recommend to not eat at this place!
