Sharon Alback Dance Centre reviews
19After a dancing break my daughter returned to SADC this year and it was like coming home! Love the sense of community and family from this studio. Very professional, caring and fun instructors who provide thoughtful critique to allow her to be the best she can be! Would highly recommend.
My 3 (going on 4) year old loves ready set dance! It's great as she is exploring a mix of dancing styles (tap, ballet and jazz) as well as singing. The teachers have been lovely. The highlight of our week!
My 3.5year old loves going to Ready, Set, Dance lessons at the Sharon Alback Dance Centre. The teachers are supportive and plan a fun and engaging lesson for the little ones. I love that the class incorporates a variety of dance genres as well as singing and music. It is a great way to introduce your toddler to dance and movement in a fun environment. I have also made some amazing mummy friends while my daughter attends class.
I started my little one in January and she was very shy. The teachers are amazing with her & it is wonderful to see how much she enjoys the classes each week. I love that they teach a variety of dance & also singing. It is a lovely relaxed environment to start kids off in the world of dance.
A great supportive and professional family run studio. It’s been a wonderful way for our daughter to nurture her love of dance.
I could not have hoped to find a better dance school and dance community for my daughter. Each dancer is supported by excellent, dedicated teachers. My daughter is thriving in this positive environment, building beautiful friendships. SADC staff go above and beyond. Thanks for helping my daughter to grow. Kyrra
I grew up at SADC and it was like a second home to me through my school years. Not only did I always feel supported and encouraged, but I was also provided with all of the technical training I needed to then go into full-time dance studies in Sydney. The foundation that this school provided me has allowed me to develop a career in the performing arts as well as the skills to be a teacher in my own right! Great school, fantastic teachers, beautiful studios!
My daughter has been attending since the beginning of the year and absolutely loves it! The teachers are good with the little ones. She's made some great friends and so have I.
It has been such a pleasure seeing my children grow and prosper at SADC.
The staff genuinely care for the students and support them to achieve their dance goals from casual interest in a class or two per week, through to exams, performing in eisteddfods and local events right up to teacher training.
The family atmosphere and multi generational experience is something unique to this business that has been operating since 1952.
My children grew up here where their love of dance was nurtured and encouraged from dedicated and caring teachers. I especially loved their junior program where the children share and enjoy social and professional experiences in a safe, nurturing environment, learning teamwork while aspiring to their own personal best in a fun atmosphere. I thoroughly recommend this studio for any child who wants to fulfill and enjoy their love of dance in a loving, family atmosphere.
My daughter was 5yrs old when she began dance at Sharon Alback and the staff and older girls have embraced her like a little sister. She absolutely loves dancing there with her 2nd family and I have no worries leaving her there for 2 hours on a Saturday
Great dance studio with passionate and encouraging teachers. All the studio staff are welcoming and friendly. Something for all ages and all dance abilities. Highly recommend this dance studio.
I have been dancing here since I was 4 years old. I have had many amazing opportunities while at this studio. It is a great environment for for all types of dancers. Would 100% recommend.
We have been with SADC for 5 years and enjoy the friendly family atmosphere that is on offer. Our son feels at home there with Miss Diahann and the team and is encouraged to better his dance each year. Exams are offered for students who choose to undertake them and there are plenty of opportunities to perform. Highly recommend.
My daughter started at SADC at the start of this year. She looks forward to her Ready Set Dance class every single Saturday morning. She loves the variety of dance styles explored and can’t wait until she starts Prep next year and can take part in after school lessons at Southern Cross Catholic College. I cannot speak highly enough of how helpful and engaging all staff are. Highly recommend!
I've been invited to teach Tap workshops for SADC on multiple occasions throughout my teaching career.
Each time I am warmly welcomed by staff and met with very enthusiastic and attentive students.
The workshops have always fun to conduct and the technical ability of the students is a credit to the SADC teaching staff.
I get excited every time I am called back to Sharon Alback Dance Centre because I know the students will work hard in class and are passionate about learning.
My daughter started at the centre when she was just 2 years old in the Ready Set Dance program. I was hesitant at first due to her age but she absolutely loved it! The teachers are very kind and caring and take such great care of the students. We have had opportunities to perform not only in the end of year concert but at local events such as the Scarborough Christmas carols and Santa’s visit at Peninsular Fair which my daughter has been so chuffed to be part of. Lessons are great value for money and it’s a warm and welcoming community to be part of.
My 3 year old has loved the "Ready Set Dance" program. The teachers are welcoming and although the studio is professional with a high standard of dancing it is a relaxed place where my little girl loves going.
Our daughter have been attending SADC for several years now and they really make learning to dance fun for all ages and levels from tiny tots to adults. They cover all genre of dance and students have the opportunity to join the eisteddfod team or just dance for fun.
During the pandemic they have offered online lessons and continued these throughout restrictions. It has helped students to interact with their peers and teachers as well as continue with their learning.
