Shapland Swim Schools - Moorooka

Our son started lessons at Shapland Moorooka after a very poor experience at another swim school. He began at Shapland not only as a reluctant swimmer, but also fearful of swimming instructors. In the time our son has been attending lessons at Shapland we have seen a remarkable transformation thanks to the dedication of April and Lucas. These days he is happy, confident, and engaged in lessons. We could not be more grateful for the support we received from our very first contact. We have always felt welcomed and supported at Shapland. The teachers have a wealth of experience that sets them apart from other schools - they are simply the best!

We love Shapland at Moorooka! I have two kids there. Small classes, so the teachers can meet the children where they're at. Very encouraging, and good with kids who are a bit scared. Our kids have come so far!
Lucas and Marie are lovely, and April went above and beyond for us today! Thank you!

Fantastic swimming school 3 per class great teachers for my two daughters. One being difficult in pool they have worked hard to get her swimming. Look forward to many more years swimming with them.

I love Moorooka Shapland. I currently have two girls enrolled and my older boys also learnt to swim through this amazing swim school. All of the teachers have quickly built relationships with my kids so that they feel safe and secure during their lessons. They are extremely encouraging and supportive of the differing abilities/stages that they are at. I also love how easy it is to self-manage cancellations and make-up lessons. So convenient for busy schedules! Thank you Moorooka Shapland!

Amazing team who provide lots of energy and attention to a smaller group of children. Working at the child’s pace helping increase their confidence in the water. Flexible schedule it child is sick by easy online updates. My 2 year old looks forward to her lesson all week

A big thumbs up for Shaplands. My little guy has had a fear of the water and has had some bad experiences with other swim schools being forced under water. In a very short time with Lucas, he is absolutely loving swimming and wants to go every afternoon, walking out each time he says he still wants to come when he is a big kid. He now does belly flops, which is a huge achievement. Ive had to jiggle class times due to work and they have been really helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend the small classes, the excellent program that works, and the friendly manner they conduct their business. We love it! Wish we came here from the start. A big thank you!

The teachers are fantastic. Our first child had a huge fear of swimming from a previous swim school. The patient teachers at Shapland Moorooka were able to overcome it quickly. Out second child accelerated very quickly and she really looked forward to swimming class every week.

Be aware Very unprofessional do not wast your money hear I give $180 for my two kids wen we went she told me my lesson was canceled over the rain and they ad over lessons in 20 minutes later and told me my kids wasn’t aloud to go to that lesson and still want give me a refund wen they told me you will get a refund back now saying we don’t give refunds please don’t trust this place very nice on phone until you go I’m taking this to fair trading just be careful people

Absolutely fantastic place for kids to learn to swim. A lovely small swim school (our kids were a bit scared of the bigger centres!) with truly lovely staff - Lucas has taught both our girls over almost 4 years now with enthusiasm and skill.

Cannot recommend Lucas and the Moorooka Shapland team enough. My son as come leaps and bounds since starting with Lucas and his teaching skills are second to none. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My two daughters have been doing lessons here for over three years and we have found Lucas and the team to be great. You won’t find a better swim school.

Yesterday morning I took my daughter Poppy who is 18 months old for her first swimming lesson @Shapland Swim School Marooka.
Upon entering we were greeted by Lucas and he explained to me where everything was and how everything works etc which was great.
Poppy can be a little shy and timid in unfamiliar settings however with Lucas’s experience he got us to do a few activities in the water which helped Poppy relax and got her confidence up which allowed for her to then enjoy the whole experience in the pool. There was an opportunity after Poppy’s introduction to swimming with Lucas with another swimming instructor April. Poppy was happy in the water so I was happy to stay plus there was another woman and her son doing the class so I thought that would be good. The class went great and Poppy was really enjoying having another child to learn alongside and I found April’s teaching methods to be very thorough and also enjoyable for both the parent and child. Lucas and April clearly have a good understanding of what is necessary to build up the kids trust and confidence which then allows them to participate in the activities that will ultimately allow them to learn to swim safely in any pool over time. I was very impressed and highly recommend Shapland Swim School Marooka.
I will continue to take Poppy there to learn to swim.

Great swim school! Lucas and his swim instructors do a fabulous job in making children feel safe and relaxed in the pool. My daughter absolutely loves going for swim lessons at this Shapland facility!

My 3.5 year old loves going to his swimming lessons here. Lucas and April are both excellent teachers.
There are only 3 children in a class so they each get plenty of learning time with the teacher, and the make up lesson policy is really flexible, with a super handy online booking system so you can manage your own make up lessons.
The 20 min lesson is perfect for the little ones as it’s just the right amount of time to keep them engaged.
Plenty of free onsite parking.
It ticks every box for what you want in a swim school!
Our little man is doing really well with his swimming thanks to his lessons, and we couldn’t be happier with Shaplands.

My boys have been swimming here for the last two years. They’ve come so far in skill and confidence. Excellent teachers, Lucas runs the facility well. Recommend this place highly. Flexible catch up lessons if child is sick and away

My daughter loves it here! She has been fearful of getting her face wet for years and in one lesson was happily putting her whole head under for Lucas. I love the small class sizes as it keeps my daughter engaged for the whole lesson

If I could give higher than 5 stars I would, this place is a pleasure to attend. My children have completely opposite personality types, and the instructors (particularly Lucas) go out of their way to personalise their approach to teaching them. The smaller classes (capped at 3/class) mean they can be given the attention they need to thrive as well. Highly recommended.

Lucas is an excellent swimming teacher. My daughter's confidence in the water and swimming abilities have greatly improved in just a few weeks of lessons. So pleased with the results so far! Highly recommend.

Don't come here you won't like it.the highly attentive staff and nice quiet peaceful experience will hurt your poor little Morty brain. Go to yeronga pool instead.
