Shapland Swim School Sinnamon Park

We have had three children swim at Shapland Swim School Sinnamon Park, one has graduated and two still attend. We have always found Shaplands to be very warm and welcoming, particularly Teresa who knows all of the children by their names and interacts with them all in a loving and caring manner. I would highly recommend Shapland Swim School at Sinnamon Park for anyone starting in swimming lessons or moving to the area. Pamela has always been a fair and approachable owner who allows free makeup lessons. Our current and favourite instructor is Norma, but we have been very happy with the instructors over our many years at Shaplands.

Great place for kids to learn to swim. With a heated pool and heated change rooms the kids can learn to swim all year. The instructors are great and it is limited to maximum 3 kids per lesson per instructor.

Have brought my kids here for the past 4 years and it's just wonderful. We love Teresa
as she, and all the staff there create such a caring and supportive environment.

Theresa got extremely belligerent with several children and yelled at them at the top of her lungs with zero forewarning as they collected their stickers whilst she was on the phone. She proceeded to violently pry the items from the children's hands leaving them terrified and in tears. Then she LIED about it to save face when confronted with her actions. This is horrendously problematic, to have a staff member mistreat children to such a degree. The owner Pam dismissed the entire incident to not cause problems for her own business, which is also unbelievably disgusting and selfish.

Also, your kids won't learn s*** at Shapland. It's been two years and my sons class was still doing monkey climbs around the pool perimeter and doggy paddling a distance of 2 or so meters. I know kids at other reputable swim schools in the area who have been attending their classes half as long as mine has, and know how to do freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke.

If you're happy with your child being berated and publicly humiliated by staff purely because she is in a foul mood and sees no issue taking it out on innocent kids, or you're happy paying an extortionate amount of money for your child to ride a pool noodle for two years straight, go for gold. Everyone else with an iota of self respect who wants their kids to actually succeed at the task you are paying for, and have the peace of mind that a staff member isn't going to abuse them, go elsewhere. Because this place is a f***** joke.

My son attends Shaplands at Sinnamon Park and his ability and confidence has gone ahead in leaps and bounds in a short space of time. The instructors there really work closely with the kids and are very accommodating to kids with special needs. In our experience Sam and Teresa are fantastic and my son warmed to them quickly, and Heidi behind the desk is very pleasant to deal with and always smiling. I have and will continue to recommend Shaplands to anyone looking for a quality swim school.

Great swim school, great teachers, great facilities, great service. Our two kids love their weekly lessons and have learned to become very capable and confident swimmers in a relatively short time. Highly recommended!
